How lovely are Your tabernacles, O Lord of hosts! My soul yearns, yes, even pines and is homesick for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out and sing for joy to the living God. Yes, the sparrow has found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young–even Your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are those who dwell in Your house and Your presence; they will be singing Your praises all the day long. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man whose strength is in You, in whose heart are the highways to Zion. Passing through the Valley of Weeping (Baca), they make it a place of springs; the early rain also fills [the pools] with blessings.
They go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power]; each of them appears before God in Zion. O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! Behold our shield [the king as Your agent], O God, and look upon the face of Your anointed! For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand [anywhere else]; I would rather be a doorkeeper and stand at the threshold in the house of my God than to dwell [at ease] in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts in You [leaning and believing on You, committing all and confidently looking to You, and that without fear or misgiving]!
Psalm 84
The Church is in a season of relationship, fellowship and communion with God. This is the only way to enjoy supernatural success.
God is taking us back to Eden where our life is not governed by law but by relationship.
God sent the second Adam, Jesus, to restore us to relationship. He could not restore before redeeming us. He delivers us and changes our form.
The special thing about David was his heart. The Lord is not looking for a good preacher. He is looking for a good man. The world is not looking for a priest, but a good Samaritan.
You can never trust a person you do not fellowship with.
Knowledge and wisdom is gotten from the presence of God. We need people that fellowship with God to tap into revelation from heaven.
You can never long for something you have never seen.
The Church has a false contentment in God. We did not get saved to go to heaven otherwise we would die when we get saved. We are saved for an assignment.
God can sharpen the knowledge you have from education and show you something the world has never seen before. Innovation, wisdom and knowledge from a divine source.
Sparrows and swallows know the importance of God’s presence. In the house of God, there is safety (Psalm 84). It is the place where nothing can touch you.
Is your heart longing for the presence of God? Is your heart longing to know Him?
God desires to give us the grace and power to get the supernatural blessing. God blesses you before giving you the blessing.
People are coming to church for something. Not a relationship with God. You can never know someone you do not spend time with. Everything you need is in Him.
When you know Him, no one will lie to you.
Serve Him because He is God. Who He is changes everything. When you relate with Him, He will give you power.
You can never carry the life of God with you wherever you go unless you fellowship with Him (Psalm 84:5-7). Jesus came to give us an exchange of life not to change us.
Accept the exchange. Every relationship calls for an exchange program.
I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Galatians 2:20
The life of Christ has never been a defeated life.
Don’t try to change. Receive the exchange. The Church is living in the gifts but not the life of God. You have to long for Him to be a carrier of His life and nature.
God is introducing the church to an apostolic and prophetic table so that they may know Him.
Desire to become a carrier of life. (Psalm 84:5-7) They shall move from strength to strength (spiritual strength to do exploits) because of relationship with God.
Our spirits are able to communicate with God even in our sleep.
Paul wrote about Christ even though he never walked with Christ because he was taken up by the Holy Spirit. We need to be carried in the spirit by the Holy Ghost to have supernatural encounters and experiences.
Zion is the City of God. Everyone in Zion appears before God; they fellowship, commune and relate with God) – Psalm 84:7. When was the last time you appeared before God?
Psalm 84:11 – He gives grace and glory to those who know Him. Grace is not just favour but God’s working ability. As our knowledge of Him increases, so does our grace.
We grow from strength to strength the more we increase in the knowledge of Him. But you have to fellowship with Him. There is a grace that will only be given to you when you fellowship, relate and commune with God.
There are things God gives us in this life, not so that we can settle, but to use for our next level.
If there’s nothing you are longing for, there’s nothing that’s driving you. You can never know God to His fullness. What makes a man live for God is your driving force to know Him more.
If there’s nothing driving you for God, you will die in the wrong place, in the wrong season, with the wrong people.
Lip-service is not needed any more in the Church. We need heart-service. Relationships die when people start speaking from their mouth and not from their heart.
Hearts are changed in the presence of God. When God wants to give you a new heart, He brings you into His presence.
