Establishing Yourself In The Marketplace | INFEMI Sermon By Apostle Geoffrey Kioko

Establishing Yourself In The Marketplace: Sermon By Apostle Geoffrey Kioko

Our education system is preparing people to work for others. It’s micro-thinking.

The problem is our mindset.

What is perspective?

  •  It is the art of creating maximum view point drawn on 2 dimensional surfaces
  •  It’s an attitude or a point of view If you start wrong, no matter how good your intentions are, you will end badly.

Your perspective is more powerful than your profession.

Faith builds hope in you, but perspective shows you the way. Your perspective will help you or hinder you.

Develop the eye (perspective) that sees the right things and looks to the right direction. This is the eye of your spirit How do you see opportunities? Check your perspective.

You will never establish yourself in the marketplace if you have a simple 1 dimensional perspective. This is what’s holding back Christians.

The momentum with which you set your life is based on your perspective the Holy Spirit came to accelerate our thinking.

We have not been given a spirit of fear but a spirit of love, power and a sound mind. If you are going to establish yourself in the marketplace, the word ‘hustle’ should depart from your mouth.

The word hustle was introduced by Adam and it ended with Jesus who became poor that we may become rich. You are not created to be a hustler.

And to Adam He said, Because you have listened and given heed to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it, the ground is under a curse because of you; in sorrow and toil shall you eat [of the fruits] of it all the days of your life. Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth for you, and you shall eat the plants of the field. In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you shall return.

Genesis 3:17-19

For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).

2 Corinthians 8:9

Stop trying to change. Receive the exchange life of Christ. He has conquered all that you may live and walk in His victory.

If you want to become an extraordinary Christian, you have to change how you see things (perspective) e.g. career, family, faith, etc.

Look at the life of David Van Koevering to see his faith and his perspective. He is an example of what a changed perspective can yield. Project what God has given you well. Express what He has placed within you.

There’s nothing secular about your calling. Just thought to share this article here with you all.

The work of the five-fold ministry (apostles, prophets, teachers, pastors & evangelists) is to equip the saints for ministry. Build your character and seek to offer solutions. The money will follow you.

Quit your defeatist thinking and change your perspective The word Father or Abba means ‘source’. The world, even Kenya, is in a fatherhood crisis.

Our lives have much to do with family than anything else. The best businesses in the world are family-owned.

There is something that God has ingrained in a family government. When He first created man, He gave them their blueprint.

So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth. And God said, See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the land and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food. And to all the animals on the earth and to every bird of the air and to everything that creeps on the ground–to everything in which there is the breath of life–I have given every green plant for food. And it was so.

Genesis 1:27-30

Research shows that 95% of world’s businesses are most likely to remain standing if their owners are married to 1 spouse for the rest of their lives. Success, marriage and establishment has much to do with family.

Don’t get married because you are lonely. Get married because you have an agenda for life.

To succeed in the marketplace, consider the diverse perspectives that exist and then ask God to give you one that is better than the rest.

Principles facilitate your life. They are pathways that will give you desired results.

If you contravene principles, God will give you a miracle. It is not an end result. It’s an opportunity to start over so you won’t need it tomorrow.

Once perspective has been built, you need to have a concept.

What is a concept? It’s a general idea or notion. It’s a plan or intention, mental representation.

If you are not in touch with the details, you will not be able to execute something.

To establish yourself in the marketplace, you need to have the ability to conceptualize.

The future of evangelism is in teachers talking to teachers, doctors talking to doctors, etc. God places us in the marketplace so as to be able to influence. Invention is essential to our world and generation.

Is it fair for a someone to graduate with a Masters with knowledge to repair something someone in grade 5 in China created? It’s easy to improve something. But what about creating? What is the place we have given invention in our society? Innovate.

Your value system can inform your ideas. You need to value what you have. What ideas do you have about the marketplace? It’s a place where we can develop to be who God wants us to be.

Work is worship. We need to change our work ethic. No one is empty. God did not make anyone empty.

The key is in locating the right work that demands the things that God has placed in you. If it’s your calling, you will have the grace for it.

A perspective builds your eye in the spirit.

A concept will influence your focus. Your focus will motivate you or demotivate you Imaginations are more powerful than prayer. What do you imagine becoming in the next 20 years?

Imaginations are still pictures of how you see yourself, life, others, etc. Concepts will help you focus. Develop your own concepts. Find your own river and flow with it. Don’t try to swim in another man’s river.

If you are going to come up with your own business, family strategies (or focus), etc, you must be an explorer of concepts.

What is a paradigm? It is a set of spectacles that determine how you see things/life. What is your paradigm?

Activity without technique is a waste of energy. Activity is not convincing. Technique is.

Now it occurred that while the people pressed upon Jesus to hear the message of God, He was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret (Sea of Galilee) And He saw two boats drawn up by the lake, but the fishermen had gone down from them and were washing their nets And getting into one of the boats, [the one] that belonged to Simon (Peter), He requested him to draw away a little from the shore. Then He sat down and continued to teach the crowd [of people] from the boat. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon (Peter), Put out into the deep [water], and lower your nets for a haul. And Simon (Peter) answered, Master, we toiled all night [exhaustingly] and caught nothing [in our nets]. But [s]on the ground of Your word, I will lower the nets [again].

And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish; and as their nets were [at the point of] breaking, They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and take hold with them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. But when Simon Peter saw this, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord. For he was gripped with bewildering amazement [allied to terror], and all who were with him, at the haul of fish which they had made; And so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon (Peter). And Jesus said to Simon, Have no fear; from now on you will be catching men! And after they had run their boats on shore, they left everything and joined Him as His disciples and sided with His party and accompanied Him.

Luke 5:1-11

War is not always won by those who have strength but by those who have technique.

Thinkers rule over workers. People who have ideas are respected. The simple are cheated by job titles.

To rule, you have to think higher. God’s perspective is higher than ours. We are seated in heavenly places with Him. Is your life the way it is because God has made it the way it is, or is it because of your choices?

If you are going to be wealthy, change your technique. Destiny is what you decide. God gives you the power to decide. God respects your decisions.

To be strong in the marketplace, you have to be a decision maker and follow through with your decisions. Get the strategy and execute it.

The rich choose to be rich. The poor choose to be poor. The love of money is evil, but not money itself. Our paradigms are taking us to a destiny of failure.

What is destiny? Destiny is very easy to achieve. It’s like cooking. Follow the recipe. Be willing and obedient and you will eat the good of the land. The condition qualifies you for the promise.

If you will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God.

Deuteronomy 28:1-2

Create your destiny. You can tell your future now by looking at what you are doing now.

You can create your future now. Your yesterday created your today. Your today is creating your tomorrow. Make the right decisions, choices and governed activity and you will make it.

Christians are not good with dealing with royalty. We don’t even know that we ourselves are royalty.

We are firstborns and co-heirs with Christ. Understand the protocols of royalty.

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Change your paradigms to change your destiny.

The thinking of the rich and the thinking of the poor is what determines their destiny.
