Worship: Sermon By Apostle Gobanga

Our theme this year is: “Ascending the Prophetic Mountain of Worship.”

Let us therefore, receiving a kingdom that is firm and stable and cannot be shaken, offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship, with modesty and pious care and godly fear and awe.  

Hebrews 12:28 (AMP)

When you worship, you are serving.

Worship must first and foremost be reverent.

We need to understand who we are to worship.

You must worship God because He is holy, just, righteous, loving, all-powerful and Almighty.

We must worship God according to the revelation and truth of God in the Scripture.

God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).

John 4:24 (AMP) 

Truth is that which expresses the prophetic purpose of God as to why He is Who He is and why we are who we are.

We worship God in Spirit because God is Spirit. You cannot transact in the things of God unless you are spiritual.

Life is in the Spirit. The body enables one connect with matter. That which is tangible is found in the Spirit.

When you worship God you connect to the One Who is holy, pure and righteous.

Worshiping God has nothing to do with uttering words. Worship is an attitude of the heart.

Worship should propel one to a higher dimension of obedience.

People who are worshippers have an extravagant love for God and exhibit extreme submission, whereby you do the uncommon. 

Genesis 22 – Abraham had an uncommon and extravagant love for God.

Worship is the homage of the heart and a tribute from the soul.

If you claim to love God, He will put you to the test. God will use them that are close to you to provoke you.

Honour your parents, but honour God more.

One needs to ask what will stand in between of you and God.

God is looking for them who are submissive to Him.

People who are submissive may have had a tainted past. The Samaritan woman had a tainted past but when she encountered Christ, there was turn around in her hometown.

Question: Are you submissive to a point of knowing what God desires you to do in a particular season?

Worship is the totality of one’s lifestyle of that which one has transacted with at individual level.

Worship has more to do with what you value most. For you to worship, you have valued God more than anything else. When we worship God, we declare that He has worth.

God is looking for people who have reckless passion for Him. God is looking for people who have a relentless pursuit of Him; God-Chasers. 

We must transcend beyond the common things and into the realm of Divine tangibility.

That which is spiritual bears the attributes of God. 

When you worship, you transcend to the subterranean realm.

God met with Adam at the Tree Of Life where he was able to connect with the fullness of purpose.

Sin can drive you away from the source of sin. Sin has no friend. The source of sin is not your friend.

Worship deals with all that is anti-God in one’s life and draws us to the source who is Christ.
