Living In The Divine Element Of The Law: Part 5 | INFEMI Sermon Series By Apostle Gobanga

Living In The Divine Element Of The Law – Part 5: Sermon By Apostle Gobanga

Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Romans 7:4-6 (KJV)

When we are delivered from the letter of the law we are delivered from wrong perceptions. The Spirit of the law enables us to realise the wrong notions and ideas that we have had about God. The Spirit of God convicts one and you realise that Jesus is the focal point of your life.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

We are not refurbishments, but new creations in Christ Jesus. To become a new creation, you have rejected the old and become a partaker of the new.

Salvation has two states: Repentance/ Conversion and Sanctification.

Sanctification is the work of the Spirit of God conducting us to the Cross. He brings all our members to the Cross so that we can be consecrated for divine service. Sanctification is an ongoing process. Positionally, you are perfected.

The Spirit of God conducts you to the Cross and it is through the process of sanctification that a new born Christian is experientially made into a son of God. You realise that life in Jesus ushers one to a wonderful panorama in spiritual reality as opposed to the religious outlook of life.

Jesus did not teach spiritual realities to give knowledge but impart revelation based on those realities.

Sanctification is a state of allowing God’s power to work in you and you become a partaker of the divine potency of God.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.

John 14:16 (KJV)

There is nothing you can do void of the Holy Spirit. The Father has actually sent to us the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive. If you are worldly, you cannot receive the Spirit of truth. The control panel of the god of this world is the mind.

To live a sanctified life, you need to die to every wrong doctrine and denomination. You die to Church politics.

If you are walking in the patterns of the world, then the Spirit of God will become a mirage. Friendship with the world is enmity to God.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)

People are worldly not because of externalities but in terms of being cultured. The world is a system and kingdom. When you are emancipated from the terrain of darkness, you are transferred into the Kingdom and there you are governed by the Lord and not Babylon.

The Kingdom of God is in the Spirit of life. In the Kingdom, you don’t operate based on humanistic structure.

The Kingdom of God is one of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. To capture the Spirit of the law, you need to partner with the Holy Spirit.

The Word of God is His voice. It is a mystery.

In the Kingdom of God, material things lose importance.

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

 Romans 14:17 (KJV)

The Kingdom of God is not in the world. It is in the Holy Spirit. You can’t be a partaker of the Kingdom if you are not a partaker of the Spirit.

One’s relationship with people will tell if you are walking in the Kingdom of God.

The Kingdom of God is invisible.

If you do not know how to pray, and embracing and hearing the voice of God, you aren’t fit for the Kingdom. People of the Kingdom love fellowship. There is fellowship one has alone but there is also another where you interact and apply Kingdom principles among brethren.

The control system of a human being is the mind. You cannot be trained how to be in the Kingdom, or how to get into the Kingdom.

If God has your mind, He has the whole of you. If your mind is confused, you will be bound.

If you are free, no one or nothing will confuse you. Confusion sets in from being void of the truth of God. If your mind is confused your heart will be degraded.

Jesus was rejected because He had a different culture. We are to be vessels to transmit His culture on earth. The world is unable to perceive who Jesus is.

There is revelation that comes from the Father as was revealed to John. If you want to see into the realms of the Spirit, God expects one to give up one’s ideas about God, some of which are as a result of having misinterpreted the Bible after it.

The same Spirit that moves people in the gifts of the Holy Spirit is the same Spirit that gives people in the fruit of the Spirit.

The way in which we read and misinterpret Scripture must be given up so that we can receive the Kingdom. We need to be as children to receive the Kingdom.

We must let go of being judgmental and having ungodly philosophies in order to receive the Kingdom. You must let go of wrong ideas that will limit you from to walking in the divine element of the law. The Kingdom of God is a mystery.

There are certain things that are of the Kingdom of God that are multidimensional e.g. the love of God is 4-dimensional.

May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened andreinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality]. May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, that you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it];

[That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]! Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams] – To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it).

Ephesians 3:16-21 (AMPC)

It will take only the Spirit of God for you to understand the parables in Scripture. He takes the deep things of God and makes them known to us.

We do not experience breakthroughs because of wrong mindsets. We need to operate in the second heavens where there is no limitation.

The world understands that the promises of God as being futuristic. But the promises of God are yea and Amen in Christ. The promises of God are now.

God wants you to come to the place where you see His promises, as the past, the present and the future.God wants you to come to the place where you see His promises as yours for the taking, and not just the asking.

Anyone who is earthly minded is limited to the contours of the earth.

And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

John 8:23 (KJV)

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

John 17:16 (KJV)

When you are in Christ, you have a different pattern, system and culture. When Christ taught He at times taught in parables. If you aren’t in the Kingdom, the mysteries will always appear as parables. When you are in the Kingdom you have the ability to understand parables.

And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parable.

Mark 4:11 (KJV)

Jesus has given us the ingenuity to be able understand Scripture. You cannot research a concordance to understand parables. The Lord needs to speak a mystery for one to become fruitful in life. It takes the Spirit of God to understand parables and what is written in parables.

Jesus taught in parables so that people wouldn’t understand what He was saying. You can’t use human intellect to understand what’s in Scripture. You need the Spirit of knowledge, revelation and understanding to understand what is in Scripture.

God is not calling us to exercise human intellect. He is calling us to be spiritual. A spiritual person has the Spirit of Christ in Him and has fellowship with the Holy Spirit. God wants us to be submitted to the Holy Spirit.

What we read in Scripture is a testament of the internal occurrences (transactions, transmissions) in the Spirit.

God wants us to continuously submit to the Holy Spirit for us to understand Scripture.

But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed].Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny].

For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man’s thoughts except the man’s own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16 (AMPC)

The disciples walked with Jesus three and half years but were not able to discern Christ. Peter had been with Christ yet denied Him. He had been with Jesus,  but he did not know what it meant to know Who Christ is.

It is possible to be saved and Spirit-filled but you do not know Christ beyond the manger. It is important that we see Christ as He is beyond the manger. See Him as our High Priest. Peter denied the Person of Christ in bodily form hence Christ needed to go so that the Holy Spirit could come.

Further Reference: Luke 24.

The Holy Spirit came to impart. We need to be recipients of impartation from the Holy Spirit. When you have the mind of Christ you will move contrary to what the world expects.

Divine impartation comes from the person of the Holy Spirit. When you have divine impartation, you do not care about what people think about you. When you walk in the divine element of the law, you fear God more than men.

Impartation is not received from a man but from God. However, God can and does use a man to impart to you what He does to impart.

God the Holy Spirit gives the divine consciousness of the Person of Christ. It takes having the divine consciousness of the Person of Christ to become firmly rooted in Christ. The Holy Spirit gives a comprehension that goes beyond human reasoning. This came after Christ went to Heaven. The Spirit of the Son was released and was first imparted to the Apostles in Acts 2.

We need to come to a place where you understand the Bible beyond the letter. The Bible is a scale to test everything received from the Holy Spirit.

When you are in bondage, you are seen as a person who is dead. You need to delivered by the Spirit. The letter of the law brings death. It is only Christ that enables one to stand firmly.

When you are under a particular covering, do not assume that everyone under that covering is walking in that particular expression. Pursue Christ. The letter represents that which is past tense. The Spirit represents that which is new.

Without the Spirit of truth, life will not be imparted. The words Jesus speaks give life and are Spirit. A spiritual person is one that has had interaction with the Person of the Holy Spirit. If carnality is your portion, you are dead.

When Jesus came, He came to destroy the works of the devil emanating from the mind. Religion puts one in a place of bondage. Jesus came to destroy the concept of a god that controls a darkened mind. He came to install a new mind.

Jesus came that we may receive the new mind. You can’t transact spiritual things with an old mind.

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life

2 Corinthians 3:6 (KJV)

We are ministers of the Spirit, walking in the Spirit and not gratifying the desires of the flesh. The Church is meant to be a spiritual organism. Religious people conceal certain truths about Jesus.

Religion advances humanistic tendencies instead of the Spirit. It excites pride in people.

We need to walk in the Spirit and be in step with the Spirit.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Galatians 5:25 (KJV)
