The Divine Impulsions/Impetus/Energy & Plans – Part 2: Sermon By Apostle Gobanga
Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
Isaiah 43:7 (KJV)
It is important to know God’s purpose much more than what He says to avoid misconceiving and misrepresenting Him. If you capture God’s sublime purpose, you will be able to understand His word.
Listening is another level of hearing. When you do not hear aright, you will waste your resources.
God’s grace provides the environment necessary for you to exploit your talents and gifts and enjoy their benefits.
When you do not have the nature of God, you will not understand purpose. Divine power is vested in God’s nature. Where there is no purpose, there is no manifestation of His power. Purpose is birthed forth in God’s word.
The purpose of God has nothing to do with what you earn. The purpose of God will help you know where you are and where you are headed.
No amount of wealth in this world will lead you to fulfillment if you do not understand purpose.
There are two levels of hearing: hearing and listening.
God designed a habitat for humanity to pervade earth with the culture of heaven. It is the will of God that there be no difference between heaven and earth. Earth is the arena for the manifestation of what is in heaven.
In order for God to execute His purpose, He cogitated the creation of a portal to serve as a protectorate of Heaven. This was the Garden of Eden.
This is the full expression of God’s nature. The glory of God is the beauty and splendour of His Spirit and character.
Glory is the manifestation of the beauty of God’s Spirit, which emanates from God’s character.
The Hebrew word for glory is kabod. Kabod is the salient representation of God that is precisely related to God’s self-disclosure and His intention to dwell with human beings.
The Greek word for glory is doxa. Doxa refers to the true nature of God; the acts of God in self-manifestation. It is the manifestation of God’s character and righteousness. God’s righteousness is forever constant.
Righteousness is God’s holiness in action. Holiness is a state.
Kabod and doxa refer to the fullness of God’s manifestation on planet earth.
In the year that King Uzziah died, [in a vision] I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and the skirts of His train filled the [most holy part of the] temple.Above Him stood the seraphim; each had six wings: with two [each] covered his [own] face, and with two [each] covered his feet, and with two [each] flew. And one cried to another and said, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory! And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
Isaiah 6:1-4 (AMPC)
Isaiah had a divine encounter of the glory of God as a prophet. He saw the angelic hosts worshiping God. He discovered that he was a man of perverse speech. The glory of God gives you a manifestation of God.
When you encounter God’s righteousness, you will take salvation seriously. God’s glory is the full expression of His nature.
Isaiah saw the holiness of God that was a turnaround of his life as a prophet.
Kabod and doxa are the fullness of God’s presence. At the dedication of the freshly constructed Temple of Solomon, the weight of God’s presentation so filled the whole temple that the priests could no longer continue with offering the sacrifices.
So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.
2 Chronicles 5:14 (AMPC)
Moses on the mountain went without food or drink for 40 days. When you encounter the glory of God, you can go without food.
Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he ate no bread and drank no water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
Exodus 34:28 (AMPC)
God wants us to understand that He created the earth for us. He wants us to experience heaven on earth. God wants to use us as instruments to manifest His glory on/in the earth. God wants the earth to be permeated with His presence.
We were created for glory. Through us, God wants to manifest His character.
To manifest His glory, God uses a man. If you fall short of your assignment and you repent, remember that God’s purpose has taken care of your mistakes.
In God’s lingua, there is nothing like ‘the biological clock is ticking’.
As humans, we need to change our mindset by embracing the truth of the word of God. Wrong mindsets serve as footholds for the enemy and they are through which devils find expression in and through your life.
The glory of God doesn’t transact with people with a wrong mindset.
To exhibit God’s glory, we need to understand that which God deposited in each one of us in our gifting, talents and creativity.
The relationship of glory and creation predicates that God created everything with glory. God creates that which can reflect His glory.
Glory is the latent, hidden reality in mankind. The hidden reality is that which holds the efficacy of that which it was to do.
The glory of a seed is a tree. The glory of a tree is in bearing fruit. The glory of a puppy is a dog. The glory of a dog is to bring forth puppies. To fall short of God’s glory, is to fall short of fulfilling His purpose.
Everything was created to manifest its own glory and in essence, God is glorified. We were created after God’s image and His likeness.
For the glory of God to be manifested, there has got to be the right environment. You are to manifest that which God has declared in you.
The prophetic ministry ushers you to the place of walking in the manifestation of the glory of God, while the apostolic aids in maintaining divine order.
When words are spoken, God is basically saying that you have a nature that you need to arise to.
People who are threatened will fight you.
You must arise and understand the nature that God has vested in you. God wants you to subdue the natural order. That which is natural should not control you.
The higher you go in the Lord, the more humble you become. And the more humble that you become, the higher that you lift Him up and the more that God is able to entrust you with all that pertains to His purpose for your life and for your generation and the generations to come.
Our lives are not in the natural but in the spirit notwithstanding your circumstances. You can’t transform your life in the natural.
The glory of man is to be like God. The glory of man is to rule like God; to be in fellowship and harmony with God.
Man wasn’t ordained to know good and evil but good alone by partaking the fruit from the Tree of Life.
In the Garden of Eden when the devil tempted Eve, he twisted the word. Adam and Eve wanted to be more like God and yet they were created after His image and likeliness; they were already like God. The enemy has perfected the art of making man question God.
Man wasn’t meant to rule over fellow men. Government came as a result of man’s fall. God instituted government so that the helpless and the innocent would be protected. The Law He instituted was so that the spread of sin could be contained.
We need to understand that which is inside of us that’s organic. You can’t rule over the nature of God that’s in you. Your nature is what causes you to rule. That which is in us, is not ours but God’s. The Lord will not share His glory with anyone. The gifts of God are irrevocable. However, should you abuse your gifts, you will be left as an empty shell.
Every living thing needs a proper environment; the native element to manifest its glory. The pristine environment to manifest that which is within a person.
The native element of man is the environment of the presence of God. It is only in God’s presence that we will be able to to know who God is and what He is like.
You can’t know God if you are not in His presence. The more you reverence God, the more you become more like Him and die to yourself.
There is a certain knowledge that God will not expose us to because we would otherwise be destroyed and forsake the ways of God.
Atheists want to reason with God with reprobate wisdom.
Anything God gives you and you misuse it, you will fall dimensionally and your perspective will also be interfered with.
Eden was a place of a state of pure, unbroken relationship with God. Eden was an open door to Heaven. Eden was a divine portal where the angelic hosts would go up to heaven and back down.
In Eden, heaven and earth kissed [used figuratively to show the state of the perfect connection and synergy that existed] each other.
Eden was where the presence and the glory of God converged.Adam was to work in the Garden. In God’s presence, you find purpose. When you find purpose, you find fulfillment.
When you are fruitful, you expose the hidden glory in you.
God wants man to raise a righteous seed to replicate the Garden of Eden [God’s presence] in all the parts of earth. God wanted Adam to reproduce Him from wherever he was to where he went.
Not every church provides an environment. Every church has a unique dimension of the grace of God.
We are to replicate what we have received from the various environments to where we are now at – our homes, schools and workplaces.
Whenever God wants to bring about change, it is preceded by chaos. He does not author the chaos but He allows it.
The glory of God will not be made manifest where people are not desperate.
If God manifests His glory where people have no regard for Him, there will be judgment.
It is only in God’s presence that you can attain to God’s personhood. Only in His presence that you are able to shine His glory in and about your life.
In God’s presence, your identity is redefined. The presence of God is the active manifestation of God in a particular environment.
God decided to manifest His presence in Eden where His creation existed. It is an environment where mankind is to be fruitful. The presence and the glory surrounded Adam and Eve.
Adam and Eve were in the constant presence of God. They did everything that they were called to be in the Garden of Eden.
Adam and Eve did not have the Bible, nor did they need it as they had the Living Word – Christ in the pre-incarnate form – with them in the Garden. The word of God was inscribed in their hearts.
