Jehovah Jireh – His Character, His Principles: Sermon By Rev. Richard Muendo
And He said to them, Which of you who has a friend will go to him at midnight and will say to him, Friend, lend me three loaves [of bread], For a friend of mine who is on a journey has just come, and I have nothing to put before him; And he from within will answer, Do not disturb me; the door is now closed, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot get up and supply you [with anything]? I tell you, although he will not get up and supply him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his shameless persistence and insistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs.
So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone; or if he asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good gifts [gifts that are to their advantage] to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him!”
Luke 11:5-13 (AMPC)
The term God is not an accurate representation of all that He is. It is a term that has been coined for the sake of the human race to make reference to I AM that I AM. No other god can come close to the essence of who YAHWEH is.
The terms used to refer to God are meant to serve as a gate to enter into the mystery of His Person. Our perception should not be limited by what we use to enter into the Person of the Almighty. The name CHRIST is a gate that opens up to the essence of Who God is. The Holy Spirit is also a gate that reveals the depths of Who God is.
Nothing on earth can capture the fullness of His Person, the grandeur of His majesty, the splendour of His beauty. God is God. I AM that I AM. Yahweh, the all-sufficient God.
Every individual on earth operates on the basis of the gate that he has been called to. That is, his dimension of expression, of purpose. For example, when you have been called to business, your sense of purpose is manifested in that gate.
To Peter, Christ was the Son of the Living God.
To Matthew, Christ was the Anointed One, the Messiah.
To Mark, Christ was the suffering servant. That bull that Ezekiel saw in the vision. [Ezekiel 1]
To Luke, Christ was fully God, yet fully man, and to John, He was the Son of the Living God.
Using providence, we shall access the mystery that is the living God. He is the All-Sufficient One.
Jehovah Jireh – He introduces Himself as One who not only reveals purpose but provides for Himself.
For Abraham, and Isaac the ram in the thicket was God supplying for Himself through Himself. The ram was a type of Christ on the Cross. His purpose was to reconcile man to Himself.
When God reveals His purpose to you, He is calling you to seek His person as the key to seek His provision.
The consideration of everything dung in light of knowledge of Christ. The fuel of my ministry is my knowledge of Christ and Him crucified.
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.
Philippians 3:8 (KJV)
Before we can understand Jehovah as Jireh, we need to understand that His provision is for His purpose and equipping for Himself. The Ram was a perfect sacrifice. God provides His Person for His purpose.
When God calls out purpose, He is calling you to seek His providence. Providence is not limited to the manifested type.
We should not use the manifest type as a yardstick to relate to Jireh. We need to understand that provision is for His purpose.
The manifest type is an anchor that connects a spiritual reality to a manifest reality to a place of experiential reality; a place called earth.
An anchor is smaller than the ship. We need not focus on the manifest type rather than have a larger perspective.
We need to connect with the man in the second heavens and we need to understand the access that we have there. We need to understand that worry doesn’t exist in the vocabulary of God.
The Lord equips individuals to function as we are His choice vessels. In the second heavens, everything is apparent and complete. All things are done.
On earth, God installed His principles. For example, rain and sunshine shine on all. It communicates the immutability of God. God is constant.
There are four components that underguard our principles and they are: revelation, knowledge, wisdom and understanding.
A revelation of a God who supplies for Himself works hand in hand with the revelation that He is a rewarder of they that seek Him diligently.
But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].
Hebrews 11:6 (AMPC)
Abraham’s revelation of God as one who provides and this birthed faith. Out of this revelation, Abraham derived his understanding of his identity as a king.
Beyond your providence, there is still a God who is still God. This is the realm that Hannah tapped into in her barrenness. Her motives were equally realigned and she got a revelation of Who God is.
In many separate revelations [each of which set forth a portion of the Truth] and in different ways God spoke of old to [our] forefathers in and by the prophets, [But] in [b]the last of these days He has spoken to us in [the person of a] Son, Whom He appointed Heir and lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time [He made, produced, built, operated, and arranged them in order].
He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high, [Taking a place and rank by which] He Himself became as much superior to angels as the glorious Name (title) which He has inherited is different from and more excellent than theirs.
Hebrews 1:1-5 (AMPC)
Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. For by [faith – trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report. By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.
Hebrews 11:1-3 (AMPC)
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a thing.
Proverbs 25:2 (AMPC)
It is by understanding of his identity that he manifested as a King. Faith is able to unveil the omnipotence of God on earth. Faith is a gateway to your identity. It is not just a Christian reality. It is by faith that one manifests.
The man in the second heaven delights in the Lord.
Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.
Psalm 37:4 (AMPC)
It was not supposed to be a list of Do’s and Do not’s but rather He whom we needed to imitate.
Therefore be imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]. And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.
Ephesians 5:1-2 (AMPC)
Faith is the key to the organic tree of identity hidden in Christ.
Rhema is the key we use to activate faith in us and grants us access subsequently to power via purpose embedded in His word. Life in the spirit is very exciting.
Exploration of life’s answers will cause you to manifest as the king you are.
The path you take you uncover the answers to the enigmas that are rife in life you manifest components of your kingship.
The dimension of the explorer is kingship. He is a God who delights in the beauty of fulfillment.
Better is one day in the courts of the Lord than a 1000 elsewhere. Fulfillment is the source of praise and thanks giving.
Principles: an embedded reality of God within the dimension of manifestation loaded with time conscious releases of organic resources for use by and accessed by the man of dominion.
Realities of God, in the realm of manifestation, are accessed in the realm of time and season. This was the mastery of the sons of Issachar – they excelled in telling the times.
And of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times to know what Israel ought to do, 200 chiefs; and all their kinsmen were under their command.
1 Chronicles 12:32 (AMPC)
God is a God of multifaceted wisdom.
Through His principles, He embeds his providence for people. Seed, time, harvest. Through principles, He empowers the individual to be able to manifest.
Principles are a connection between God and man through which man can manifest divine intent and purpose.
For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [[full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue). By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.
For this very reason, [adding your diligence [to the divine promises], employ every effort in exercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in [exercising] virtue [develop] knowledge (intelligence), and in [exercising] knowledge [develop] self-control, and in [exercising] self-control [develop] steadfastness (patience, endurance), and in [exercising] steadfastness [develop] godliness (piety), and in [exercising] godliness [develop] brotherly affection, and in [exercising] brotherly affection [develop] Christian love. For as these qualities are yours and increasingly abound in you, they will keep [you] from being idle or unfruitful unto the [full personal] knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). For whoever lacks these qualities is blind, [spiritually] shortsighted, seeing only what is near to him, and has become oblivious [to the fact] that he was cleansed from his old sins.
2 Peter 1:3 (AMPC)
When you walk in purpose, it is God’s integrity and character at stake. He will provide for Himself for His purpose.
The greater His purpose, the greater the provision of Himself. God is not interested in manifestation per se but the heart that has aligned to His.
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are blameless toward Him. You have done foolishly in this; therefore, from now on you shall have wars.
2 Chronicles 16:9 (AMPC)
God is looking for people whose hearts – character is blameless. He empowers us for His provision by working on our character.
How does He empower us? By strengthening us in the inner man.
May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].
Ephesians 3:16 (AMPC)
John 17 – Christ prays on the reality of second heaven.
Three Dimensions Of Access
I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
Romans 12:1-2 (AMPC)
1. Common Grace
For the grace of God (His unmerited favor and blessing) has come forward (appeared) for the deliverance from sin and the eternal salvation for all mankind.
Titus 2:11 (AMPC)
2. Acceptable Will
Permissive access – oh, that Ishmael might live under your blessing. The covenant that happened in Genesis between God and Abraham affected everything.
3. Access Into The Perfected Will
The dimension of configured access. It is not your might in understanding the principles of earth, but it is the providence of the Person of God that allows you to know Christ.
When God speaks, He introduces His Person. The Person of God enables you to understand His nature and His purpose. Whenever God speaks, He reveals His purpose.
The Person of God is His providence. There are aspects of God’s nature that you cannot connect to without His Person.
God’s nature gives you the ability to overcome every obstacle in your life. You will live as if you have fulfilled purpose. This is because purpose is one continuous present. It is not futuristic. Because God sees things as one continuous present. To Him, purpose is not in the future.
Purpose is supposed to be a finality in your life. God relates with people who perceive that which they already have.
God wants us to converge around His Person, and not on the things His Providence/His Person affords us.
You are in the world, but you are not of the world. Why? Because you commune with the supernatural. You have been born-again from above.
You need to perceive that which is yours in the spiritual realm and download it.
The only way to break demonic strongholds in your life is to militate against them by standing on the reality of God’s word, by living in the presence of God.
The only way to experience a breakthrough, is to live in the reality of that breakthrough in the spirit. Live as if you are already in that which God has spoken and has revealed. Stop living in your past. This is where faith comes in. Every human being has been given a measure of faith.
So if you have seen yourself in the future, let today be your future. Live today as if you are in the future. Do not wait for the future.
So if you are a dreamer and you have seen who you are, start living like that.
Until you are tired of the situation, it will never change. Until you confront poverty, it will not go away. Until you confront fear, intimidation, it will not go away. Arise. Don’t live in your past.
Don’t live in bitterness and unforgiveness. Just forgive.
Rhema 19th April 2016 – reveals that God wants to provide His person for His purpose. God visiting individuals is determined by:
- Individual need: time and season.
- Need for divine touch: free will. How badly do you want it? It is not by desperation but by an unwavering conviction [faith] in His character.
- Commitment to the things of God: this is where the higher perspective comes in. It is a perspective that is focused not on the anchor, but on the ‘ship’.
Peter had a revelation of Jesus as the Son of the Living God. There are things that only the Spirit can reveal to us.
Now when Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, Who do people say that the Son of Man is? And they answered, Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets. He said to them, But who do you [yourselves] say that I am? Simon Peter replied, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Then Jesus answered him, Blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) are you, Simon Bar-Jonah. For flesh and blood [men] have not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in heaven.
And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros—a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra—a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it]. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth [f]must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven. Then He sternly and strictly charged and warned the disciples to tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.
Matthew 16:13-20 (AMPC)
To be committed to the things of God we need to have higher perspective not of the city that He will build but of the Builder himself. #SELAH
We need a focus not on the blessing but the Blesser.
God’s nature give you ability to overcome all the challenges and obstacles in your life.
God’s mind is not futuristic. It is in one perfect present as He sees things. It is us who live in the dimension of time and space. We should pursue purpose as if it is here and now.
If you ask of Him, believe.
Healing: By His stripes we are healed. That is the reality of the matter.
In as much as we are in the world, we are not of the world. We have the mind of Christ. We have been born again – from above. Our citizenship is in heaven.
All imaginations and high thoughts hinder our breakthrough.
For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purapose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (AMPC)
One stronghold to fight is fear and intimidation. God has not given us a spirit of fear.
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.
2 Timothy 1:7 (AMPC)
Have a spiritual perception of yourself then live from that dimension. Align your mind and speech to that which you have perceived in God.
And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize—a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion].
Matthew 11:12 (AMPC)
We need to militate against works of the enemy.
