God’s Eternal Purpose – Part 1: Sermon By Apostle Gobanga
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
2 Timothy 1:8-9 (KJV)
Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; The overall eternal purpose of God has nothing to do with His observation of the turmoil of the world and the rejection of His Son.
Titus 1:1-2 (KJV)
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.
Ephesians 1:1-5 (KJV)
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Ephesians 1:9-12 (KJV)
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Ephesians 1:15-23 (KJV)
Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands.
Hebrews 2:7 (KJV)
The only way to deduce God’s purpose is by going beyond the beginning. There was existence before the beginning. Before Genesis 1, God existed.
Before all creation, the Triune God eternally existed. That which is a factor of eternity, for example, heaven, has a beginning. Heaven is not eternal.
God is Alpha and Omega. God transcends all works of creation. He exists as a perfect being apart from all the works of His creation.
Everything perfect must issue from God who is perfect. God does not depend on anything existing outside of Himself.
God’s eternal purpose goes beyond the limits of creation. There is a place without limits where He exists. This is eternity.
God created the heavens and the earth to serve as an apparatus to accomplish His eternal purpose so that He alone may receive all the glory and honour.
His eternal purpose precedes creation. It is preeminent above all creation.
God’s divine wisdom is unsearchable with regards to the grand design of the future in reference to His purpose.
God’s wisdom has all to do with His purpose. His wisdom is unsearchable with regards to the restoration of His creation.
Before the foundation of the earth, God’s Spirit body filled all space i.e. eternity and not the space in time and space that we know, and also not all of eternity, but the particular locus where God was found. Eternal is very vast. All men; sinners and saints, will enter eternity but it will depend where each will end up. Take for example, demons, who exist in eternity.
God the Father ordained His eternal purpose, God the Son administered the counsels of God and The Holy Spirit communicated the counsels of God.
In the Son are hidden the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Colossians 2:3 (KJV)
Only God the Son is allowed to enter into the immutable counsel of God. This is what Lucifer sought but failed before being cast out of heaven as a profane thing.
Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created. “You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you. “By the abundance of your trading you became filled with violence within, and you sinned; therefore I cast you as a profane thing out of the mountain of God; and I destroyed you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the fiery stones.
“Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, that they might gaze at you. “You defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your trading;
Ezekiel 28:12-19 (NKJV)
therefore I brought fire from your midst; It devoured you, and I turned you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all who saw you. All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you; you have become a horror, and shall be no more forever.” ’
The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth – the Son of God.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 16:13 (KJV)
For God’s eternal purpose to be accomplished, God foresaw that there was both a price to be paid and a reward to come. He foresaw that the price was worth it.
In human terms, the eternal purpose of God is impossible but with God it is possible.
What did God have in mind with His eternal purpose?
Anything God has done on earth was already accomplished in eternity.
Heaven is God’s throne and earth is his footstool. But He dwells in eternity. This is an uncreated expanse.
Earth was the realm of the manifestation of his power.
And God saw it was not good for man to be alone.
Adam needed someone to share in his dominion and power on Earth yet God was the first to desire such a mate and then said, “Let Us make man in Our Own Image and Likeness.” [Genesis 1:26]
God desired a perfect mate with whom He would share His glory, His power and majesty in the uncreated expanse in the fourth dimension.
God needed a mate that was capable of sharing His glory inside His inner sanctum.
This mate needed a body to dwell on earth yet be a spirit being to commune with God in His unapproachable light. It is for this reason that God breathed His Spirit into man. It is in this way that Eve came from Adam’s side. Adam exclaimed and said: “Bone of bone, flesh of my flesh!”
This mate needed to have no beginning and no end. This means that if God was to find such a mate, this mate would have to come from Himself. Just like Genesis 2 where Eve was made out of Adam himself, God desired a mate that came from Himself.
The Realm of Unapproachable Light – The kind of light that beams forth from God is mysterious in that it has the capability to exhibit properties of a wave, an atom and a particle. It is constant in the vacuum in which He exists in the fourth dimension and then God projects into the universe which is what sets the pace of the entire universe, such that there is nothing in the universe that can move faster more than the speed of light. If anything, any matter that tries to breach 13% of the speed of light becomes heavy and decelerates and combusts.
This mate must be the one that is seated with Christ in the heavenly places and must be resident in the Son and not outside of the Son.
The fourth dimension is not for individuals. It is for a corporate entity.
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Ephesians 3:16-21 (KJV)
God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are not one dimensional. They are multidimensional. God does not transact outside the multifaceted dimension of Himself.
God is a God of relationship. He believes in relationship like nothing else. Without relationship, you cannot accomplish anything.
Unapproachable light means unapproachable truth. There is a level of truth that you cannot be able to handle as an individual because of His infinite wisdom.
God did not reveal all of Himself to one person. You cannot approach the Father without the Son, or the Father and the Son without the Body. There are things that you will be unable to know about God without brethren.
The Church is supposed to be the Bride of Christ. The wife of Christ. This was executed in eternity before creation.
You cannot come to the fourth dimension (secret place) without experiencing the depth, height, length and breadth of God’s love.
In the fourth dimension, things are multifaceted. It takes one who has been programmed from mortality to immortality to be able to abide there.
This person needs to be personally accredited by God. This is the Son.
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Hebrews 6:4-6 (KJV)
The fourth dimension is a dimension of intense perfect love, intense Glory, power and majesty. We as the Church of Christ are the perfect mate for Christ, chosen in Christ Jesus.
The fourth dimension transcends tribe, race and status. In Christ, you are neither rich nor poor or what men describe themselves to be. These things are non-issues.
Diversity is an opportunity to complement each other. We need to stop being divisive. If you despise someone or a denomination, you will miss out on the unique aspect of God in them.
God’s eternal purpose is greater than one individual.
It is in stillness and quietness and communion (which does not imply speaking words) with God that you begin to traverse the fourth dimension.
Any theophanic appearance of God on earth is actually a projection of the Father from the uncreated space (the fourth dimension).
No created being – man or angel – can stand the full majesty of God.
We have the privilege of having unlimited access to the Holy of Holies through Christ.
God the Father wants somebody (corporate individuals in one accord) to dwell with Him in the fourth dimension (the uncreated expanse or secret place).
Unity attracts the anointing of God. The technology of One. There is something about oneness that draws God to manifest to a body of saints.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
Psalm 133: 1-3 (KJV)
The uncreated expanse where God dwells was never compromised by sin because it is not a part of fallen creation.
