INFEMI SOE 2016 (Day 2): Integrating Divine Wisdom As The Ordinance Of Pertinence – Part 2 | INFEMI Sermon By Bishop Mark Kegohi

INFEMI SOE 2016 (Day 2) – Integrating Divine Wisdom As The Ordinance Of Pertinence – Part 2: INFEMI Sermon By Bishop Mark Kegohi

For the message of the cross is foolishness [absurd and illogical] to those who are perishing and spiritually dead [because they reject it], but to us who are being saved [by God’s grace] it is [the manifestation of] the power of God. For it is written and forever remains written,“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise [the philosophy of the philosophers],And the cleverness of the clever [who do not know Me] I will nullify.” Where is the wise man (philosopher)? Where is the scribe (scholar)? Where is the debater (logician, orator) of this age? Has God not exposed the foolishness of this world’s wisdom?  For since the world through all its [earthly] wisdom failed to recognize God, God in His wisdom was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached [regarding salvation] to save those who believe [in Christ and welcome Him as Savior]. For Jews demand signs (attesting miracles), and Greeks pursue [worldly] wisdom and philosophy, but we preach Christ crucified, [a message which is] to Jews a stumbling block [that provokes their opposition], and to Gentiles foolishness [just utter nonsense], but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks (Gentiles), Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. [This is] because the foolishness of God [is not foolishness at all and] is wiser than men [far beyond human comprehension], and the weakness of God is stronger than men [far beyond the limits of human effort].

Just look at your own calling, believers; not many [of you were considered] wise according to human standards, not many powerful orinfluential, not many of high and noble birth. But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty]. God has selected [for His purpose] the insignificant (base) things of the world, and the things that are despised and treated with contempt, [even] the things that are nothing, so that He might reduce to nothing the things that are, so that no one may [be able to] boast in the presence of God. But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God [revealing His plan of salvation], and righteousness [making us acceptable to God], and sanctification [making us holy and setting us apart for God], and redemption [providing our ransom from the penalty for sin], so then, as it is written [in Scripture], “He who boasts and glories, let him boast and glory in the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 1:18-31 (AMP)

There is wisdom of this world and there is a God ordained wisdom. The wisdom of this world comes through men and it is displayed as human intellect. Divine wisdom has two forms; one which is divinely given by God as a gift to all those who ask.

If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.

James 1:5 (AMP)

God-ordained wisdom operated in the life of Solomon and made him one of the wisest men on the face of the earth. Solomon, when faced with the task ahead of him to lead the nation is Israel, realized that he was deficit of wisdom. He realized that he needed the kind of wisdom that was used to create the heavens and the earth. What God has called us to do is sophisticated and we need to seek His wisdom. Education is important, but far above that, you need the wisdom of God.

There is the higher level of wisdom, which is the personification of Christ that comes via the Holy Spirit revealing the deep things of God. It is the wisdom that Christ manifests to you. There is normal wisdom that God can give in normal day operations.

Revelation knowledge is the unveiling of mysteries that is released in the personification of Christ and you understand God in a new light. The personification of Christ reveals the uncommon things in God.

There is a place that you need to pursue to go to into in Christ.

Moses was on Mt. Sinai for 40 days and nights and God took him on a tour to see the temple and he was to replicate it on earth. Later in Exodus 3, he still asked that he wants to see God. There is a desire birthed by touching base with the wisdom of God. If you soak your earthly wisdom with that of Jehovah God, you will be a genius.

What God can teach, no man will teach. Solomon did not attend high school or university. Moses, on the other hand, was learned and was taught by the Egyptians.

We are originals. Moses was taken to an African school. With all the education in Egypt, God took Moses on a refresher course without food. After Moses’ return, he wrote the first 5 books of the Bible. He wrote about the days when he never was. Moses wrote of creation that he was not present to.

“The Lord possessed me at the beginning of His way, before His works of old. I have been established from everlasting, from the beginning, before there was ever an earth. When there were no depths I was brought forth, when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth. While as yet He had not made the earth or the fields, or the primal dust of the world. When He prepared the heavens, I was there, when He drew a circle on the face of the deep, when He established the clouds above, when He strengthened the fountains of the deep, when He assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters would not transgress His command, when He marked out the foundations of the earth. Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman, and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him, rejoicing in His inhabited world, and my delight was with the sons of men.

Proverbs 8:22-31 (NKJV)

Wisdom delights in where men are. To operate in high levels of wisdom, you need to hate what God hates and love what God loves. If you want to become a king, you must possess wisdom.

The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God. They have all turned aside, they have together become corrupt. There is none who does good, no, not one. Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call on the Lord? There they are in great fear, for God is with the generation of the righteous. You shame the counsel of the poor, but the Lord is his refuge. Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord brings back the captivity of His people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.

Psalm 14 (NKJV)

In order to walk in wisdom, you have to seek Him. You cannot to operate in high levels of wisdom and die a pauper.

When Solomon received wisdom, wealth followed. There is wealth that manifests righteousness.

You do not need to have walked with the Lord for long to walk in wisdom. You also do not need to be old. God is not a respecter of persons. The minute you begin to walk in His ways, He will bless you. For God is not a liar. There is no partiality in Him. God can catapult you in a second and change our status and give you a fresh profile.

There are things that God has prepared for you if you love Him. We are called to flow in personified wisdom(the Holy Spirit)

When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with fire and power. There is no vehicle that drives on the road that doesn’t drive without fire. Without fire, the church cannot exist.

The Church is stagnant is because we lack the fire of the Holy Ghost working in our lives that will make us abhor sin.

You cannot travel the world if you do not know its languages. The countries that are becoming rich are not the English-speaking countries.

If you want to take the world for God, know world news where people are working hard. Wisdom is calling, it’s shouting on the streets. You that are simple, get out of your simplicity, get yourself into high level wisdom. Get yourself into the fire of the Holy Ghost. We are to have an expanded mindset and read ahead to know the trending world technologies.

What God is calling to be is higher than having a boyfriend or girlfriend. There are greater things that we are called to pursue.

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Daniel 1:8 (NKJV)

As young people, look for something greater than what you have now. There are things that need to be shelved until we reach where we are to be. Do not abort your destiny. Do not squander your future with earthly pleasures.

People who disciplined/bridled their appetites, you will see them in the future occupying high positions of success and influence. Do not be pushed by worldly passions. Maintain your position that the fire will burn 50 years from now.

The excitement of youthfulness is only for a moment. Do not let it push you. Let destiny push you.

Daniel’s choice not to defile himself caused him to rule in three ruling kingdoms. Even after they threw Daniel into the den of lions, the wisdom that he carried shut the mouths of the lions. The wisdom of God fights off everything that is against you.

When you carry God’s wisdom, death rejects you. Jesus had to be spewed out of the grave.

Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 1:15-20 (NKJV)

The Spirit of wisdom will bring you to the level of understanding the power God manifested that raised Christ from death. An extraordinary power had to be used to lift Christ from death as we were in Him.

We need the Spirit of revelation and understanding for us to understand the power that is at work in us – the resurrection power. When Christ was raised, we were raised. When we sit as Christ did, we will overcome and sit above principalities and powers.

Even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:5-6 (NKJV)

Far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,

Ephesians 1:21-22 (NKJV)

Addendum By Apostle Gobanga:

Wisdom activates power. The absence of power is the absence of wisdom. If you are looking for power, look for wisdom for wisdom activates power.
