God’s Eternal Purpose – Part 4: Sermon By Apostle Gobanga

Now to Him who is able to establish and strengthen you [in the faith] according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery [of the plan of salvation] which has been kept secret for long ages past, but now has been disclosed and through the prophetic Scriptures has been made known to all the nations, according to the commandment of the eternal God, leading them to obedience to the faith, to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forevermore! Amen.

Romans 16:25-27 (AMPC)

The mystery of God refers to the secret will and the counsel of God not comprehended by an average person. The secret things belong to God that which has been revealed belongs to us and our children.

The secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but the things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all of the words of this law.

Deuteronomy 29:29 (AMPC)

The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning

Psalm 25:14 (AMPC)

God uses vision or revelation to unfold the secret counsel of God. This unfolding leads to the manifestation of the supernatural.

There are events that we go through that are underlined by His counsel. Not every event is natural. God uses events to convey that which is supernatural.

Dreams are one the ways God uses to convey His counsel. He uses them to reveal about the supernatural world. In the Old Testament, God did not tell anyone why He created humanity; both the visible and invisible things.

Revelation leads to manifestation.

God reveals His secrets through visions and revelation, which gives us insight to events and manifestation of the supernatural. There are things we cannot understand unless God reveals to us.

[For my concern is] that their hearts may be braced (comforted, cheered, and encouraged) as they are knit together in love, that they may come to have all the abounding wealth and blessings of assured conviction of understanding, and that they may become progressively more intimately acquainted with and may know more definitely and accurately and thoroughly that mystic secret of God, [which is] Christ (the Anointed One)

Colossians 2:2 (AMPC)

The mystery of God is Christ. Jesus is meant to be the nucleus and focal point of all things. It is God’s will for Christ to be the head of all things.

He also is the Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent].

Colossians 1:18 (AMPC)

Being the first born from the resurrection means that He is the progenitor of the redeemed creation. A new creation has been delivered from the cause and the consequences of sin.

Anyone that Jesus raised from the dead later died again but Jesus died and rose again and forever reigns and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

By being in Christ Jesus, we are walking in the power of resurrection from the dead.

But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also we earnestly and patiently await [the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior, Who will transform and fashion anew the body of our humiliation to conform to and be like the body of His glory and majesty, by exerting that power which enables Him even to subject everything to Himself.

Philippians 3:20-21 (AMPC)

The doctrine of the resurrection from the dead is being restored that men may be drawn to Christ. This is Christ in you the hope of glory. There is a dimension in Christ to enable one to live, move and have your being.  It is a dimension that gives us identity. Diversity enables one to arise to function and defeat devils.

Therefore let us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ (the Messiah), advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity. Let us not again be laying the foundation of repentance and abandonment of dead works (dead formalism) and of the faith [by which you turned] to God,With teachings about purifying, the laying on of hands, the resurrection from the dead, and eternal judgment and punishment. [These are all matters of which you should have been fully aware long, long ago.]

Hebrews 6:1-2 (AMPC)

We have all we need in Christ. Christ in you is filled with the multifaceted dimensions of Christ. All answers are vested in Christ. We do not have certain things because we are not praying according to that which God has vested in us. Anything not in you will not be yours.

All ordained for us must manifest in time and season. Seasons come with grace and some things are not able to come because the grace is not there for it to find expression. Every fruit has a season to manifest.

Christ cursed the fig tree because it did not manifest in its season. It is fatal to not manifest in your season. You rob the world.

It is important to understand the dimension of Christ that we have. It will dictate the company you keep. Destiny helpers are revealed progressively. Others come for a season and others for lifetime. The enemy will also deploy destiny destroyers and we must be discerning to see them for who they are.

Destiny destroyers are not necessarily bad – they are just not aligned to purpose in your life – Christ in you the hope of glory. They do not have the capacity for what you carry.

You need to be pregnant with the Spirit. You shouldn’t ask other people to tell you how to handle your baby. Pregnant people don’t hang out with anyone or eat everything.

Know how to dress yourself in the Spirit. The mystery of Christ can only be inducted in the ambiance of God’s glory.

God has wrapped up everything in His Son Jesus Christ. If you spend time with Christ, you will know things about life. When you know Christ, you will know the mystery of life. In Him are hidden the treasures of wisdom in God. When God reveals Himself, He introduces you to His person then His purpose. Then your assignment unfolds in your life.

People are opposed to you because there is a place in Christ you are that they do not know nor have perceived as of yet. We need to avoid familiarity even at family level.

You can’t interact with the mysteries in your past and future void of God’s person.

There is a difference between Christ being revealed to us and in us. When He is revealed in us it is relationship and communion and here there is impartation. Perfection comes when we capture the mystery of Christ in us and are walking in it.

We need to see Christ with the eyes of faith. We must be careful how we hear the word of God especially prophetic utterances because they require faith for them to come to pass. This is the partnership God requires from us.

There are things about us that unless we have faith we cannot please God. Not having faith is disobedience.  The eyes of faith see Christ in the power of his resurrection at the right hand of majesty not in the manger.

God will not reveal things to us at the level of our carnal instinct. God will not inform us of something we can reason with but what requires faith.

God is not calling us to walk by what is written in the Scripture, it is by His voice. The Pharisees lived by the Scripture but did not perceive Christ when He came. The Spirit of God is what we are to look for when we read Scripture, the Scripture is not enough.

The Scriptures are inspired of God. You need the Holy Spirit to understand the inspired Scriptures. Paul taught things that he only learnt from Christ.

For indeed I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but [it came to me] through a [direct] revelation [given] by Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

Galatians 1:12 (AMPC)

There is a Spirit in you that will teach you how to function. The anointing corresponds to the revelation of Christ in you.

Such is the reliance and confidence that we have through Christ toward and with reference to God.Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God.[It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not [ministers] of the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code [of the Law] kills, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive.

2 Corinthians 3:6 (AMPC)

The Spirit of the prophetic is what gives us direction when we read the Bible.
