God’s Eternal Purpose: Part 8 | INFEMI Sermon Series By Apostle Gobanga

God’s Eternal Purpose – Part 8: Sermon By Apostle Gobanga

The mystery of God’s purpose is Christ in you the hope of glory. This is the revealed truth of God.

Unless Christ reveals Himself at personal level to you, you will not know Him. There’s no other way to know Him except through revelation.

Natural birth doesn’t give you any capacity to know Christ. If this was possible, even non-believers would know Him.

Nobody is born into the world with truth. The Bible tells us that Jesus is the way and the truth. Therefore, if you don’t know Christ, you don’t know truth.

Knowing Christ is a revelation you must experience through the Holy Spirit. To be a witness of Christ means that you will transmit Christ through you. For the Spirit of God to use you, He must give you an encounter with the 2nd Person of the Trinity (Christ).

People look at truth as doctrine and dogma. But doctrine will only tell you things about Christ, it will not give you revelation. Truth comes by revelation not brain power or intellect.

Spiritual things are discerned by spiritual people. There is a divine enlightenment and illumination of the Holy Spirit that enables you to perceive beyond the veil of visibility. The Spirit of God must open your spiritual eyes.

You can have knowledge of doctrine without understanding. It is only the Spirit of God who can reveal to us the meaning of doctrine.

For doctrine to have bearing in your life, you need divine revelation. Men and women of God are only vessels that are used as communicators of kingdom mysteries. There is a place in God where only God the Holy Spirit can walk you into. Without Him to help you capture it, it doesn’t matter how many times you listen to a sermon. You will not be able to understand doctrine. For that revelation to find place in your heart, it takes the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit works from within not from without. He doesn’t reveal Christ to you. He reveals Christ in you and awakens your spirit man activating the multi-faceted dimensions of Christ you carry. We all have a principle dimension of Christ that we carry. This is the highest calling that qualifies you to be called a son of God. The subsidiary dimensions elaborate your principal dimension and help to give definition of the Christ in you.

Christ is the mystery of God’s eternal purpose. That a man would appear on earth being both God and man and serving as a vessel for God Himself, this is the mystery of God.

Jesus is the true temple/sanctuary of God. When He appeared on earth, He was God’s temple in human form. Wherever He was, God the Father also was because there is no temple without a presence. Temples are spiritual habitations that either have the presence of God or demons.

Because Jesus was in human form, the manifestation of this temple couldn’t be complete. This is why it was expedient for Him to die, resurrect and ascend to heaven.

When Jesus was on earth, the reality of the temple was limited. But when He ascended there was a spiritual transaction from a physical man to a corporate body.

The temple was passed on from Jesus to the Church – the Body of Christ – on the Day of Pentecost. Every part of a congregation is integral in the eyes of God and we must ensure we remain holy.

When Jesus was on earth, He was not alone. God who became flesh had God the Father dwelling in Him. This is why He said that anyone who has seen Him has seen the Father.

God who became flesh also dwells in those who believe in Him.

The Church lives out God’s purpose as the abode of God the Father and the Son through the Holy Spirit. If we are to serve as the abode of God’s presence, we are to be the temple of the Triune God.

But now [at this very moment] in Christ Jesus you who once were [so very] far away [from God] have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace and our bond of unity. He who made both groups—[Jews and Gentiles]—into one body and broke down the barrier, the dividing wall [of spiritual antagonism between us], by abolishing in His [own crucified] flesh the hostility caused by the Law with its commandments contained in ordinances [which He satisfied]; so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thereby establishing peace.

Ephesians 2:13-15 (AMP)

The one new man is not just a group of individuals (Jews and Greeks). It is one new creature (not creatures). God is speaking in singular terms because He is a unitary God who wants us to be one like the Trinity. He is not out to make a group of people, He is out to make a person.

God formed a Body for His Son – Jesus. This Body is both Him and not Him. It is Christ and not Christ.

A cult that says they are the only church that has truth is claiming to be Christ. Christ is the Head, and every part has to be connected to the Head in order to be complete. A single church/congregation cannot carry the entire revelation of Christ.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16 (NKJV)

This new man God created is a community of people (Body of Christ) that lives in a loving relationship with each other. This is how we qualify to be the body of Christ. There is a fullness of Christ we will not get into until we accept each other. John 3:16 has to become alive in you.

God has chosen in divine wisdom to package facets of His dimension to each one of us. He distributes Himself in different parts of the Body. Sometimes, He packages facets of His dimension in individual packages who may not be appealing. But we must remember that the justification we have received is not on account of our works.

[it is this:] that the Gentiles are now joint heirs [with the Jews] and members of the same body, and joint partakers [sharing] in the [same divine] promise in Christ Jesus through [their faith in] the good news [of salvation].

Ephesians 3:6 (AMP)

In Christ, Gentiles are fellow heirs. The Jews had a hard time accepting Gentiles so God allowed persecution to scatter them into Gentile nations so they could receive God as well. The Church in Antioch came forth because of persecution. Persecution is sometimes necessary to take us to where God requires us (and not necessarily where we want to go).

God will send you to difficult places. You will be a conduit of Christ to the people He sends you too. There are things God will usher you into that will not require you to go through training.

In the New Testament, we all have equal access to God and His throne where you speak and commune with Him without limit. We don’t need High Priests to encounter the signs and wonders of His manifest presence.

…with regard to the fulfillment of the times [that is, the end of history, the climax of the ages] – to bring all things together in Christ, [both] things in the heavens and things on the earth.

Ephesians 1:10 (AMP)

The phrase “fullness of times” refers to fullness of ages not fullness of chronos (time) or fullness of seasons. All things will be gathered together in one place and crowned with the name of Christ.

There are certain things that have yet to be settled and are therefore still under the earth. Jesus cannot be the Head of that which doesn’t manifest Him. God wants everything to manifest His Son so that Christ can become the Head of all things.

God also wants the entire human race to have the life of Christ and be a partaker of His glory.

Many of the world systems we have are a manifestation of the devil and/or the ideologies of man. When God speaks of a new heaven and earth, He is referring to a new system and culture where everything is expressed in terms of Christ. This is when His mind is your mind and His heart is your heart.

So Jesus was saying to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word [continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then] you are truly My disciples.

John 8:31 (AMP)

We know the truth by submitting to the words of Christ. This is what aligns our hearts and minds to His.

The words that Christ speaks to you by the Holy Spirit will never contradict Scripture. This is how to test and confirm the prophetic words you receive.

When you embrace the person, nature and purpose of God, this is the truth that will set you free. Continue in what God has spoken. Be faithful with that which has been given to you.

If you cannot be faithful with that which has been given to you, God will not give you more. Have you been faithful with the Word of God you have received thus far?

Every Rhema (proceeding or spoken word of God) is supposed to usher you into a certain dimension of God that is in you. He speaks to you to reveal His nature that dwells in you.

If you want to overcome the challenges you’re in, go back to what God spoke. Embrace that so that you can be ushered to the reality of God’s person and nature.

The truth that is experiential in you will deliver you from deception, all your circumstances and your past. You get delivered by what God is saying – the mystery of God in you. When God speaks, He makes known who you are on the inside. God speaks within the confines of your purpose. He wants you to keep prophesying it to yourself.

If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].

1 John 1:9 (AMP)

Your mistakes are not who you are. This is the lie of the enemy. The blood of Christ doesn’t just bring you forgiveness. It cleanses your conscience so that you have freedom to your past. When you capture the mystery of Christ, you will be delivered from your past. Believe in the report of the Lord.

We are not defined by the systems of this world found in our homes, schools and workplaces. The most intelligent person is the one who is able to perceive beyond the veil of visibility and capture the purpose of Christ in them. They are able to commune with Divinity and become who God says they are.

Work is becoming everything God has called you to be not conforming to what the systems of the world tell you you should be.

God can usher you into a prophetic moment through a challenge or situation to reveal to you who you are. It is the words that Christ has spoken over you that will set you free from every dissenting voice in your life.

Salvation doesn’t come packaged as we prefer it. We must embrace the freedom God is offering us as He is offering it and not hold onto mindsets that are contrary to His word.

When you embrace who you are, everything that is yours will find you. What you carry is greater than any challenge that comes your way. Walk in your dominion in Christ.
