The Power Of The Spirit Of God’s Word – Part 1: Sermon By Apostle Gobanga
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
John 1:1-4 (ESV)
By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.
Hebrews 11:3 (AMPC)
The power of the Spirit of God’s word speaks about God’s prophetic purpose for our lives.
God’s purpose is basically defined by His perfect will and it is also defined by vision or revelation.
The Spirit of God’s word is basically giving us an insight into His heart and mind.
God’s word will not have any value in the lives of humanity without being able to capture His heart and mind (His purpose).
It is God’s purpose that ignites the word of God.
Christ was personified because of God’s purpose. Because without the Son, we cannot know God the Father. Christ is the heart and mind of God that has been made audible to us.
Until God’s word is made manifest in your life, it ceases to have meaning in your life.
It is the revelation of Christ that has been personified, that has been revealed in us.
There cannot be the demonstration of the power of God without His word. God’s word cannot ignite power without the nature of God. The power of God’s word is basically meant to be the demonstration of the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit of God will always function in concert with what God wants to do. He will never manifest anything contrary to God’s heart and mind.
God’s purpose is not static. It is something that is supposed to be alive and active.
This is why it is possible for you to try and cast out a demon but it does not happen. This is because there is no purpose, and the reason why there is no purpose is because there is no understanding.
It is what God has in mind that releases power. It is not in what He has voiced.
What is vested in God’s nature is His glory.
God wants us to move from glory glory such that we are living in a lifestyle of glory.
It is not enough to just have the anointing. It is okay to move in the anointing, but is important to have an understanding of the same.
The gifts of the Holy Spirit are not so that you may show off, but so that you may manifest the works of Christ.
God wants us to come to a place where we understand the spirit behind His word.
The power that causes one to live is vested in the spoken word. It comes from every word that proceeds forth from the mouth of God.
God has called you to live by His voice. By faith and by the voice.
Once we hear from God, we must understand why He is saying what He is saying.
When God gives a prophetic word we need to look at the flip-side. We need to see Rhema as Him addressing issues in our lives.
When God speaks to us and is saying something greater than your current circumstances or your current perception towards yourself, often we doubt. But the power to become is not vested in your circumstances but in the word that He has spoken to you.
We need to embrace the good thoughts of God.
For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
Jeremiah 29:11 (AMPC)
The proceeding word of God today is what allows you to live for today and for the moment.
Before God does anything, He has a purpose. God must first perceive His purpose before He moves forth to create. This is because our God is a God Who is creative.
When God speaks now, He speaks that which you need to hear, in light of what will happen tomorrow. So that when God speaks, He speaks that which He has perceived.
God’s perception is His purpose.
God does not perceive you in light of what you have done in time and space. He perceives you after the counsel of His divine will. This is why sometimes when we pray and it appears as if God is ‘deaf’ to us, it may be because you are praying contrary to His perception/purpose/divine counsel/perfect will for your life.
God’s power will never manifest until His purpose is captured.
The work of the Holy Spirit is to manifest the purpose of God.
You are who you are on the basis of how you have perceived yourself. Your perception is as a result of what you see and what you hear. We must be careful how we see, and how we hear.
The anointing works best in the context of a trial or a crisis. As the Body of Christ, we must change how we see and respond to crisis.
It is very hard to be able believe some thing about God unless you go through some things. Re: The Prophetic Purpose Of Suffering.
God wants us to come to a place where we perceive how He perceives.
The purpose of God will never be held hostage, and the Spirit of God is always looking for a vessel that is available, willing and obedient.
Divine power is basically the capacity vested in God and is expressed by Him through man to manifest that which is in His mind and has registered in His heart.
Divine power is the ability of God to manifest His purpose, to the point of fullness, where there is fruitfulness.
Creation came about as a result of what God spoke, and not what is written; of what proceeded from the mouth of God. That which proceeded from the mouth of God is which was spoke that which was not there into existence.
God spoke existence into function. He spoke that which was inanimate to have life.
There are people who worship the Bible much more than they worship and fear the Lord.
Many times people use the Bible to trap others.
God formed man from the soil of the ground, that formation could not be referred to as man until life was breathed into it.
Before the formation, man existed in spirit form.
When God breathed life into the created form, he became a living soul. He became conscious of physical matter.
The only reason that you have a physical body, is so that your spirit man that is in connection with the Spirit of God, may be used to manifest the works of Christ.
No form can have any significance until it is fashioned. This is so that each forms is properly located so that it is able to function.
That which is in purpose is that which has been divinely ordered.
The unpleasant things that we go through in this walk of faith is so that God may fashion us, sanctify us so that we may then be properly positioned so that we may function divinely/effectively.
The expression of the proceeding word is basically derived from the Spirit of the word of God in the preceding word of God, which is basically the essence of God the Holy Spirit.
When God speaks to you via Rhema, He is basically revealing His heart and mind about your life.
The preceding word of God is a revelation that is meant to be multifaceted.
Adam is a two-fold institution. The first Adam was a type of the real Adam that was to come. Adam is not just a man that lived, but a mystery. He is a composite institution.
When God spoke creation into place, He meant for all of creation to exist corporately (including the animals). Every individual that is unique and distinct was meant to function for the good of all creation.
We are the workmanship of God in Christ Jesus for works that God ordained for us to do before creation.
God in Christ Jesus restores us to the place where we were with Him before we fell in Adam.
Adam before the fall had power over creation. The power of the spoken word of God.
No one can fight the purpose of God and survive.
The power that is vested in God’s word (His purpose) is unmatched and unparalleled.
When you move in the miraculous, you are basically moving in the purpose of God.
God’s word becomes life when it is formed in our hearts (when the purpose of God is formed in your heart), so that is ceases to be mere concepts.
The word of God should be the expression of who you are. You should never be the expression of what you go through.
God has ordained an idea of purpose in you.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 (AMPC)
You can only become who God created you to be when you embrace God’s word.
God has called us to be in relationship with Him. When you are in relationship with God, keeping the law ceases to be a struggle.
