The Incandesce Of Sonship Via The Hub Of Process – Part 1: Sermon By Bishop Gobanga
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
Romans 8:14-30 (NKJV)
Many Christians have become disillusioned and disenchanted over the years. They desire to have the divine reality of walking with God in the Spirit. But when they go to Church, they find dead rituals revealed as dogmas.
The Church has become a shell of religious dogmas. Yet preaching is a form of prophecy. When we preach from the Bible, we are prophesying from the oracles of God’s word.
There is hypocrisy in the Church that holds some form of truth but it lacks the power of God that leads to transformation.
When we get caught up in religion, we end up walking in hypocrisy – we have a semblance of truth without power. Religion acknowledges God yet inadvertently denies His power. The truth offered is without the power required to transform lives.
We live in a generation where people are tired of Church and would rather stay home.
God’s genuine sons are scattered all over the world and God is calling them.
Even they who don’t have faith are sons in the making. They have the capacity to be sons because they have openness of the heart and are willing to be taught.
Sonship is not an event. It is an experience where you touch base with the realm of divine tangibility.
Sonship is a change of life and existence beyond what anyone has seen in this life.
If you limit sonship to what you have seen then you are still a child. Sonship is meant to catapult beyond the veil of visibility and the limitations of time and space.
Sonship is progressive whereby you are taken from one level of glory to another. You never arrive when it comes to sonship.
In eternity, life isn’t static. Everything is in one perfect present. Even the Son of God continually undergoes a regeneration. As adopted sons of God, we need to stop viewing sonship as a premeditated destination.
Sonship is a function in the spirit that allows you to see the convergence of the spirit world and the natural world.
God wants to transition His people from this time we are living and enable us to walk in that which the natural eye cannot see.
Sons of God are they that are led by the Spirit of God. Consecrated things belong to consecrated people.
The Church is full of carnality and religious nonsense. We have been a bad example of the Body of Christ and this has put off the government from hearing us and Muslims and Indians from being converted.
God is not looking for people of influence and wealth. He is looking for the humble and malleable. There is nothing wrong with being influential or wealthy but it should not be the focus of our lives.
We need to understand sonship from a spiritual perspective not a natural one.
We have to a culmination of one day and the beginning of another. We are now in the third day – the day of the Spirit.
Jesus rose on the third day not as a natural man but as a spirit with a celestial body (able to move at the speed of thought).
God wants us to move beyond the perceptions of men and discern people in Christ so that we no longer see people in the flesh.
God requires us to look beyond religion – systems and structures that are founded on men not God.
Come, and let us return to the Lord; for He has torn, but He will heal us. He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us. On the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight. Let us know. Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning. He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth.
Hosea 6:1-3 (NKJV)
We have been in the Church Age for centuries but now God is preparing us for the Kingdom Age. [Hosea 6] Our walk with God will enable us to see the convergence of the spirit and natural realm.
When God dispatched us from eternity and positioned us in time, He wanted us to come to the place where can see the completion of His will on earth as it is in heaven.
He wants us to transact on earth on the basis of our revelation of what heaven is i.e. that which God has already executed in the second heavens.
God wants us to seek Him daily and know what He is saying and what He requires of us. Righteousness is knowing what God wants, when He wants it and how. You will only know how God wants something done when you transact with God.
When God created man, he wanted man to be on earth but residing in heaven. After the fall of mankind, man brought forth after his kind but lacking the presence of God.
God said that He was well pleased with Jesus. We must ask ourselves if God can declare of us that we are His sons with whom He is pleased.
We in this world but we are not of it. It is possible to live in a wicked world but abide continually in the presence of God.
We can and should trust God for the impossible as sons. However, we should not pray for the impossible then take short cuts to get what we want e.g. bribing.
God doesn’t bless what we give, He blesses the faithfulness, intention and integrity of your heart. Blessing goes beyond material things to the power to become what God has ordained you to be.
Influence over men doesn’t equate to influence in the spiritual realm.
As a son, we are to transact business from the spiritual realm to the natural realm not vice versa.
Our existence on earth is hindered by our garment of flesh that causes man to separate himself from God. He has no problem transacting with man. But man tries to transact with God on the basis of his circumstances rather than on the strength of God’s edicts.
Problems and challenges in our lives are opportunities to manifest as sons.
The Church has been growing horizontally but not vertically. We are faced with the challenge of growing higher. It is time to embrace the changes of a new order/baptism not structure. Baptism is dying to self and becoming one with Christ.
God wants us to have a new consciousness as a Church – consciousness of the spirit not of the flesh.
This transition is a new order of creation coming forth and the establishment of a new race of sons of God. While we may come from different races and backgrounds, we are all made equal and one in the presence of God. Kenyans need to trust God to be delivered from tribalism.
The highest position in God is being a son. Sons of God know exactly what God wants. They are willing to be obey God at whatever cost.
God is bringing us to a place where those that have been trusting in the arm of the flesh shall fail. There are certain things that God wants you to manifest so that you no longer trust in man or anything other than Him.
We are coming to the end of the generic system and the beginning of the organic system. You can have generic things like money but not know what to do with them.
God wants us to come to the place where we understand that the challenge of change is not change itself but being willing to yield ourselves to God’s will.
Change comes at a price. There are things that will not happen in your life unless you are flexible enough to adapt to transition.
Change comes when you understand time and season. You should know what to do and when to do it.
We don’t need a change of rules and regulations. We need a change of heart.
Christians carry excess baggage in the form of personal perceptions of God and how far we intend to relate with Him and follow Him.
We need a reset to the factory settings of eternity.
Job had to go through a resetting that required the loss of all he had. But in the end everything was restored to him with eternal settings.
Revival is a matter of endless meetings. It requires transformation that comes at a high cost. It means you owning up and saying what you did wrong.
God has opened the portal of the new Kingdom Age to His sons (not children). He didn’t ordain for us to see His promises from a distance. He had planned all along to bring forth sons patterned after His likeness. He intends for us to tangibly experience the reality and fulfilment of His promises.
God wants us to embrace the transformation that leads us to become sons. Transformation entails process that God introduces us to.
Transformation begins with a renewal of the mind and conditioning of the heart. The change God wants to bring us to is thorough and complete – one that leads us to become like Christ as the Son of God. This transformation is to happen on this side of eternity not after we die.
The people that God refers to as His sons in the Bible are different from what we see in many churches today. Sons must pay the cost of discipleship.
The challenges we experienced in 2016 and beyond are intended to process us into sonship.
There are losses attached to sonship – detachment from everything that is not aligned to the will of God in your life.
Sonship is not a factor of the length of our salvation and service in church. It is a question of the depth and integrity of our walk with God.
God is accelerating the process of our transformation to become that which He has ordained us to become.
Until you possess that which God has chosen for you, then you don’t have life.
The Spirit of the Kingdom of God is to be replicated throughout where you are.
The Kingdom of God is that which is within us not without. Christ came to establish the Kingdom of God within us so we can manifest it as sons in the world around us.
God is bringing you to a place of consummation of what He has promised you no matter how long it takes. All things (good and bad) work together for your good.
We learn obedience through suffering (circumstances that are beyond your control).
We have seen and tasted of the ages to come and there’s no turning back.
God wants us to follow the path of Christ into sonship so we can manifest the glory of God in a dying world.
The answer to every problem in the world is in sonship. There are problems in our generation that only we can provide as sons if we allow God to process us.
