The Eternal Wisdom Of God – Part 1: Sermon By Bishop Gobanga
I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
Proverbs 8:12-17 (KJV)
The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep: When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him.
Proverbs 8:22-30 (KJV)
Wisdom is the knowledge that embraces all the knowledge of things and events. It embraces possibilities. It does not include contingency plan. Contingency plans are cogitated by demons and the souls of men.
There can never be any possibility without a preceding process.
Wisdom is the antecedent activation of the process of knowledge of ideal possibilities within the context of events.
The scripture reference ‘With God all things are possible’ does not mean everything e.g. sin. It is not possible with God for He is not a sinner. No possibility can happen outside of God’s purpose.
The eternal wisdom of God selects the ideal possibility in light of numerous possibilities. The most ideal possibility pertains to God’s perfect will and purpose. Wisdom is the only element that causes your mind to be renewed and your heart transformed.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:2 (KJV)
People’s minds get renewed by wisdom not logic. To address the challenges in our lives and society, the solution is wisdom. Without wisdom, you cannot prosper. Wisdom is the principle thing. Wisdom is a heart thing imparted to they that are humble.
It is by wisdom that Presidents govern. Wisdom does not imply that whoever is in control is perfect. Wisdom is a heart thing. God uses certain weaknesses to keep us humble.
You can never attain to the fullness of perfection void of being a part of the Body of Christ. God expects us to embrace His Body.
When we attain perfection, we cease to be in this dimension of time and space and walk like Enoch. Wisdom finds expression in the context of the Body of Christ.
God is eternal. He created each of us and creation so that the fullness of God can be actualized. Without wisdom, there will be no fulfillment of purpose.
There are certain aspects of God you cannot subtract in your life. Reality in life is only possible when we interact with God.
Possibilities in God can only happen within the confines of what is consistent with the divine nature of God. Creation is an out flow of God’s thoughts and intents.
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.
Isaiah 46:10 (KJV)
Destiny is in concord with divine nature. Creation is an out-birth of God’s thoughts and actions. The will of God activates the courses of things and events. Without the will of God, there is no course that will be activated.
God’s foresight stretches from the past, present and future. In eternity, everything is in perfect present.
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Hebrews 13:8 (KJV)
God allows adverse situations in our lives to deal with aspects of our carnal nature that impede fellowship with Him.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28 (NKJV)
In God, light and darkness are one. Romans 8:28 refers to all things working for good; all things factors both the good and bad.
The future can never hide from God. Only darkness will flee in His light but darkness has a prophetic purpose e.g. darkness when Jesus died. He disarmed principalities in hell and preached to our forefathers about Himself as the Messiah.
The future comes from God.
Jesus uses the devil to carry out His assignment yet the devil is clueless.
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.
Psalm 90:2 (NKJV)
Eternity cannot teach anything new to God (Psalm 90:2). He is eternal. He is from everlasting to everlasting. There is an all-at-oneness in Him. We are the ones that are to learn.
Our regeneration is a continuous process. There is no end in learning even in eternity.
The wisdom of God can allow someone’s weakness to reveal deep seated issues in your life. If you want to know that you have a problem, look at how you react to people. God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.
There can never be any augmentation or addition to God’s knowledge. Certain events occur to show us where we need to be realigned back to God.
The foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of man. Yet, we know that God is omniscient. Whatever we consider to be foolish in other people, is the wisdom of the Lord, showing you how fallen you are.
We need wisdom to address our past. The past affects our present and future. Anything independent of God’s will can come to pass but all things work together for God’s good.
God uses children to deal with the older generation.
There is an aspect of possibility about your past that unless you embrace you will not walk in purpose. It takes purpose.
The devil is not all powerful. God has demarcated a jurisdiction within which the enemy operates cf: Job and his tribulations.
God’s proceeding word is loaded with power. His word over your life is loaded with power. It is for this reason that the enemy wants to steal it and choke it. When God speaks, light, energy and sound proceed to deal with anything that opposes it. There are certain instances where we need not blame the devil but check inside ourselves to see what is wrong.
All things are known to God. He has marked our ways, and determined every aspect of our lives. Nothing takes Him unawares.
God considers those that will pass through you. There are destinies tied to your life. This is why all things must work together for your good. At the place of process, your character is dealt with. God uses time and situations to instruct us.
God displays what is to be via prophecy. It foretells the future and forth tells the present. There are demarcations that the Lord has taken into account in our process that will not affect your biological and spiritual children.
Wisdom is taught of God, not in school. God looks at things differently from the way we do. He sees the end from the beginning.
If you are the kind of person who has a heart that is willing to learn, in spite of your imperfection, you are the perfect candidate to God.
“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,” Let Israel now say – “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us alive, when their wrath was kindled against us. Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul. Then the swollen waters would have gone over our soul.”
Blessed be the Lord, Who has not given us as prey to their teeth. Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers. The snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 124 (NKJV)
For wisdom to work together for good in your life, you must go through a composite experience of light and darkness. God uses time and situations to instruct you in wisdom such that you get to a point where you say like David, “If He were not on our side we would have been consumed.”
Kings rule with their mistakes to reveal our fallen nature so that we can reform.
By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
Proverbs 8:15 (KJV)
God does not look at external features but the heart. This is how David was anointed for the throne.
God’s understanding is infinite. He is perfect in knowledge. Divine wisdom embraces your future and the final condition of your soul.
The revealed sons of God are not perfect. They have been hidden in obscurity. They have gone through the school of obedience and unjust suffering.
