The Throne Of God: Part 3: Sermon By Bishop Gobanga
To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
Revelation 3:21 (NKJV)
And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.
Revelation 22:3-5 (NKJV)
God is the perfection of righteousness and justice. Righteousness is not a standard disconnected from the person of God. It flows from the holiness of God.
Holiness is the primordial status of God; the very substance of His being. Relationship is the basis of what is right and what is wrong which results in righteousness.
How we relate with God defines how we relate with believers and unbelievers. Relationship means connecting with a person. We connect with the substance of a person aside from the weaknesses of people. Relationship determines how we relate with our environment.
God is righteous because He is perfect. When we say God is perfect, we aren’t saying that He is complying with something that is without Himself. From the the law of first mention, we start with God.
The throne of God sits on spiritual qualities. Before God, we need to have the right heart. Righteous and justice are the foundations of God’s throne. The righteousness and justice of God manifest in the glory of God. Where there is light, it typifies the righteousness and justice of God. The holiness of God is the supreme attribute of His nature.
When God is engaged in any kind of function on the earth and heaven, every other attribute converges from His holiness. The reason why we are saved is because the righteousness of God was violated. In the holiness of God, we can understand the interplay of His righteousness on earth.
God will never share His glory with any other person. To try and share the glory of God is to fight with Him. Creatures submit to the Creator. God is qualified to receive the fullness of glory because He is part and parcel of the Father. We can partake of the glory of God when we are connected with God and submit to the Lordship of Christ.
I am the Lord; that is my name!I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.
Isaiah 42:8 (NIV)
The name of the Lord is a description of His reputation, character and His designation. To receive the fullness of God, we need to how holy He is. We also need to understand that the activities one does in the name of God do not matter. What matters is that we understand time and season that determines the visitation of God in our lives.
In the heavens, God is the source of all light. Angels radiate light. Angels have 2 categories: Seraphims and Cherubims. They radiate different light from God.
Heavenly garments are made from the living substances of the spiritual realm. In the spirit realm, righteousness, peace, justice and joy emanate from the person of God. The living substances emanate from His nature.
Everything God created radiates from His being. Everything God created existed in His glory prior to manifestation on earth. Everything must begin from the heart. The manifestation of everything on earth is determined by its connection to its primordial state. There has to be a connection to its original state.
Love is a personification of God.
Substances are ordained by God to achieve function and purpose. We are to be adorned with function and purpose.
When we worship, the substance of praise and righteousness should emanate from one. Before we worship, we need to make peace and ask for restitution from our transgressions. Cain brought the sacrifice of the harvest from the ground, which was cursed. Abel gave the firstlings and the fat portions thereof. Cain did not bring the first fruit of his crop. Abel’s sacrifice came from his heart. Cain’s sacrifice was brought from a bad heart.
Just because one is involved in the activities of God, doesn’t mean you are living a righteous life. God is concerned about what is in your heart. The attitude of one’s heart determines the reward from God. God doesn’t respond to works. God is looking for living substances. When we are led by the Spirit and we give, a sweet smelling aroma emerges unto God.
I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
Phillipians 4:18 (NIV)
When giving is done without revelation, it is giving amiss. With the wrong attitude, we have a bad aroma in the spirit. When you humble yourself before God, He will exalt you. When we give offerings and tithes, God wants living substances to emanate from ones being. What you present on the altar represents who you are.
Revelation 14 talks about inheriting mansions we did not build. The mansions talked about come from the living substance; the crown of righteousness that comes from what is within one’s heart. One’s attitude and intent matters in what one does. Your heavenly reward is determined by your heart. What is in the heavens should be pulled down on earth and made manifest on earth.
Heavenly garments reflect the glory of God. They can’t produce light by themselves. If light is withdrawn, angels will cease to have light and are dark in the spirit. If light is withdrawn, we will be dark and spiritually dead. There is a certain awareness you get when you behold who God is. God is within us. Glory and life are one in heaven. To have life is to have glory.
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:4-7 (NKJV)
Seating with Christ Jesus is a privileged position. On the throne, the past, present and future disappear. God isn’t limited by time; it is a factor of eternity. On the throne of God, one feels that whatever God has spoken is already done. The power of prophetic word is a royal command.
Jesus on the throne is a generative convergence of His nature aligned with His person and continuum alignment of His person.
The throne of God is progressive. Wherever God is, the angels carry the throne. There is authority and power that conform to the throne of God. Beyond the progression of God, there is infinity.
The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
Deuteronomy 29:29 (NKJV)
Beyond the throne of God is infinity times infinity of every world that God has created. The manifestation of God is in different degrees. There is way more in infinity.
When you are in a lower stratum, you see from a lower dimension. What we see is in part and not everything. The throne of God is the same but reflected by different levels of glory. Glass has varied degrees of transparency. From a lower plane, you see the glory from the lowest plane. When you are mature in God, you become more accommodative and your perspective broadens to other believers perspective of who God is.
There are different transactions that emanate from God. When you worship, there is a reflection of glory that emanates from His throne. When we sing of the love of God, a different aspect and warmth is projected and God manifests what we say of Him. Until God gives you a revelation of who He is, you cannot worship effectively.
