The Mysteries Of The Spiritual: Part 2 | INFEMI Sermon By Bishop Gobanga

The Mysteries Of The Spiritual (Part 2) : Sermon By Bishop Gobanga

Yet when we are among the full-grown (spiritually mature Christians who are ripe in understanding), we do impart a [higher] wisdom (the knowledge of the divine plan previously hidden); but it is indeed not a wisdom of this present age or of this world nor of the leaders and rulers of this age, who are being brought to nothing and are doomed to pass away. But rather what we are setting forth is a wisdom of God once hidden [from the human understanding] and now revealed to us by God—[that wisdom] which God devised and decreed before the ages for our glorification [to lift us into the glory of His presence].

None of the rulers of this age or world perceived and recognized and understood this, for if they had, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory. But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed]. Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny].

For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man’s thoughts except the man’s own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God. And we are setting these truths forth in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the [Holy] Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual truths with spiritual language [to those who possess the Holy Spirit].

But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated. But the spiritual man tries all things [he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him]. For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.

1 Corinthians 2:6-16 (AMPC)

Mysteries are truths that are beyond the comprehension of the natural. If you are operating in the wisdom of the world, you can’t decode the mysteries of the spirit.

The mysteries of God are revealed by the Spirit of God to spiritual babies i.e. people who are hungry for God. If you think you know everything, you can’t decode mysteries.

A person who operates in the old mind can’t apprehend truth. You will always be struggling with the reality of God if you are still operating in the old mind.

You need a new set of ears and eyes if you are to comprehend the reality of God. The eyes of your heart must be opened by God.

If you read the Bible with your natural eyes, you will never comprehend it. The Bible is a spiritual book that needs to be read with the eyes of your heart. You need to allow the spirit of God to decode the Bible for you.

The spirit man needs to be quickened. God is Spirit and they that worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth.

The Scriptures were inspired by the Holy Spirit. They cannot be read using carnal eyes but require spiritual eyes.

When you read the Bible religiously, it brings you to a point where you believe your own religion/denomination is true and every other is false.

It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.

John 6:63 (AMPC)

Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (AMPC)

The Bible is not a historical book. It’s a spiritual book. It’s the book of life. Reading the Bible as a historical book is reading it literally.

The Bible was not meant for natural understanding but for spiritual understanding.

Then the disciples came to Him and said, Why do You speak to them in parables? And He replied to them, To you it has been given to know the secrets and mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whoever has [spiritual knowledge], to him will more be given and he will be furnished richly so that he will have abundance; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away. This is the reason that I speak to them in parables: because having the power of seeing, they do not see; and having the power of hearing, they do not hear, nor do they grasp and understand.

Matthew 13:10-13 (AMPC)

The words that Jesus speaks are spirit and life.

But to those who are called, whether Jew or Greek (Gentile), Christ [is] the Power of God and the Wisdom of God.

1 Corinthians 1:24 (AMPC)

That which is in you is basically mysteries about you that God has locked up in you. There is a book of mysteries that is locked up in you. You need the Spirit of God to decode the book for you.

That book of mysteries will cause you to be caught up in the divine portal. It is loaded with divine solutions for your generation. It has mysteries that you are meant to pass over to next generation.

Belonging to any particular religion or denomination does not give you the right to act just anyhow. Christ is the only way. Every person has the opportunity to became the chosen of God.

And will not [our just] God defend and protect and avenge His elect (His chosen ones), who cry to Him day and night? Will He defer them and delay help on their behalf?

Luke 18:7 (AMPC)

Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].

Psalm 1:1-3 (AMPC)

The chosen ones relate with God both in bad and good times. They relate with God not because they have needs.

You should relate with God not out of convenience but out of the conviction of love you have for Him.

God has called everyone to be chosen but few respond the call. It’s how you respond to the leading and the discipline of God that will determine whether you are chosen of God or not.

The language of the Spirit is prophecy.

There are certain depths of God that can never be attained by studying the Bible in Aramaic or Hebrew.

God wants us to come to a place where the word of God becomes life in us to a point where we release and vibrate at the frequency of understanding of God’s whole counsel.

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a thing.

Proverbs 25:2 (AMPC)

Kings are matured sons.

God never ordained the Bible to be a complex book. Religion is what makes the Bible complicated.

When God shows you your future, don’t wait for the future to come for you to act. Start where you are and with what you have.

You have to show faithfulness in the little before God can entrust you with much.

The dimension of sitting with Christ is not futuristic but it’s for now. God wants us to access this dimension for ourselves.

God is always revealing new revelations daily. If only you allow yourself to have new ears and new eyes, you will find yourself engaging with the Kingdom of God until your perspectives and understanding are changed.

Our past perspectives are to be built upon with the new ones we are receive.

You can never fully figure out God. When you are about to figure Him out, He brings a new wave of revelation. When God brings new revelation, His intention is for us to build for Him and not for ourselves.

God wants us to come to a place where we do not depend on revelation only but on Him.

The mysteries of God are usually in a conspicuous package. They tend to be in packages that appear to be controversial.

God does not want us to build memorials and traditions over a revelation He has taught. He wants you to progress to glory. The realm of glory is a realm of one level to another.

God wants us to continually move and grow in Him. He does not want us to get stuck in the past.

Revelation causes us to look into the future. It gives us the impetus to look forward in God. God also does not want us to be caught up in hearing new things every time and not be able to apply them.
