The Dispensation Of God – Part 2: Sermon By Bishop Gobanga
As I urged you when I was on my way to Macedonia, stay on where you are at Ephesus in order that you may warn and admonish and charge certain individuals not to teach any different doctrine, nor to give importance to or occupy themselves with legends (fables, myths) and endless genealogies, which foster and promote useless speculations and questionings rather than acceptance in faith of God’s administration and the divine training that is in faith (in that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence)—
Whereas the object and purpose of our instruction and charge is love, which springs from a pure heart and a good (clear) conscience and sincere (unfeigned) faith. But certain individuals have missed the mark on this very matter [and] have wandered away into vain arguments and discussions and purposeless talk. They are ambitious to be doctors of the Law (teachers of the Mosaic ritual), but they have no understanding either of the words and terms they use or of the subjects about which they make [such] dogmatic assertions.1 Timothy 1:3-7 (AMPC)
[It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not [ministers] of the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code [of the Law] kills, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive.2 Corinthians 3:6 (AMPC)
Heaven is the glaring of the execution of God’s prophetic purpose. Heaven is supposed to serve as the execution of the glory of God.
We must be able to palpate in the mind of God if we are to conceive the genesis of anything that is created.
God didn’t create anything physical. He created everything being spiritual. It’s the spiritual realm that produces the physical manifestation.
God created heaven and earth as a spiritual existence then He spoke the physical into manifestation.
The word of God is the spiritual architecture and spiritual technology that holds and sustains the manifestation.
The invisible purpose of God is to be manifested by a visible creation and that would be culmination of His creative genius.
Sonship is neither male nor female.
God had ordained a strategy to create sons from His Spirit, to release and inculcate His invisible Kingdom into the visible realm.
God never created religion. He created man to have a relationship with Him.
Religion acts a scapegoat for people who are unable to solve their deep internal issues.
Most of the world’s problem can be solved easily when the men learn relationship. When we relate with God well, He will teach us how to relate well with each other.
Rules can’t work outside relationship.
When man falls from relationship with God, He tries to cover up the emptiness of His soul by coming up with religion to fill the void.
Fear will make you wallow in perceptions and make you run away from relationship.
Religion thrives in projects. It does not thrive in relationship. The first religion to be enacted on earth was the Tower of Babel.
You do need to hide your weaknesses. They can be sorted out at the place of relationship.
You come to the place of obedience to God when you are in relationship with Him.
Man was created to exercise power and was designed to manage the divine ability vested in himself.
Man was created to have dominion the earth with its resources with His spiritual ability not his soulish capability.
God’s divine enterprise is to distribute Himself among men.
God’s dispensation has always been to dispense Himself among human beings. He chose the strategy of one, Adam. God always works on the principle of one. He is one God, expressed as a Trinity.
God wanted to dispense Himself to as many people. He choose Adam and out of Adam came Eve.
In order to know what God is dispensing, we need to know who God is.
God is spirit. He wants to propagate Himself as the masterpiece. Whatever He generates is spirit. Spirit is what God dispenses to man. How He dispenses it is through the Trinity.
God The Father
God the Father is the fountain of love. Christ is the expression of the love of God the Father. The Holy Spirit is the transmission of the love of God in grace to man.
You must experience grace in order to experience the love of God the Father. Grace is what enables us to differentiate between what love is and what is not.
Who alone has immortality [in the sense of exemption from every kind of death] and lives in unapproachable light, Whom no man has ever seen or can see. Unto Him be honor and everlasting power and dominion. Amen (so be it).1 Timothy 6:16 (AMPC)
If God was to approach us as a Father only, we would not be able to access Him because He lives in an unapproachable light. He deposited Himself in Christ to enable us to access Him through the son.
We can only appreciate the love of the Father when we are in the Son. The nature of the Son enables us to appreciate the multifaceted nature of God. The nature of the Son steps down the superlative nature of the Father through grace for us to be able to understand the Father.
We are created in the image of the Son. We can’t be created in the image of the Father because then we will cease to be human beings and became matter.
Christ is referred to as the Everlasting Father because the Son and the Father are one.
The nature of God the Father is exclusively divine.
The Father has always wanted to be accessible to us. It’s not His delight to be inaccessible. He wants us to be able to approach the unapproachable light.
Through the incarnation of God the Son, the Father is approachable. It’s through the Son that we can see the Father.
To access the Father through Christ, you first must be in Christ. You can’t leave Christ and find the Father. There are aspects of God the Father you can’t access without the Son.
God The Son
Christ is the embodiment of God. We are able to see the nature of God through the Son.
The incarnation of Christ is the fraternizing of the divine nature of God with the human nature.
Jesus lived 33 years on earth and experienced daily life experiences that makes up human life.
Jesus experienced death. His death was productive; it was wonderful and full of glory. The death of Adam enslaved us to death while the death of Christ set us free from death.
When Jesus rose from the dead, He didn’t strip Himself of His human nature. He retained His human nature. The body that Christ had after His resurrection is the same body Adam had before he fell into sin.
His resurrection shows us that God wants the human nature to be restored back to its celestial being.
His ascension far above powers and principalities shows us our positioning in Christ. You can’t be seated with Christ in heavenly places with your physical body. It’s your spirit being that’s seated with Christ.
When you know who you are in God, you will transact with God based on the position you occupy in Him not on the basis of your circumstances.
Praying amiss is praying outside the position you have in God.
God The Holy Spirit
As the Spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of reality. Truth is the highest form of reality. The reality is the reality of Christ.
All the three persons of the Godhead are the Spirit.
If the Father is not the Spirit, we can’t approach Him. If the Son is not the Spirit, we can’t experience Him.
There are three persons in the Godhead and they are one Spirit.
When the Holy Spirit comes on us, the Godhead has been dispensed in us.
