The Dispensation Of God – Part 3: Sermon By Bishop Gobanga

God’s creation was ordained to conduct us into reality.

The incarnation of Jesus was ordained to convey God into us.

The crucifixion was ordained to evacuate us while the purpose of the resurrection was to convey us into God.

The ascension was ordained to bring the Body of Jesus Christ into the headship of Christ.

Pentecost was ordained to bring the headship of Christ into His Body.

Jesus conducted us into His headship. Through resurrection, He brought us into Himself.

The headship of Christ denotes the position He occupies in the Church. It also denotes Him as the source and sustainer of the Church.

Headship also means that Christ has been given absolute powers to exercise in the Church according to the position He occupies.

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her.

Ephesians 5:25 (AMPC)

Headship also denotes the sacrifice that Jesus gave up for His church

And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together). He also is the Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent].

Colossians 1:17-18 (AMPC)

For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature]. And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power].

Colossians 2:9-10 (AMPC)

We can only experience the fullness of God when we are one as a Body.

Being firstborn has nothing to do with supremacy but everything to do with God’s purpose. Jesus is the firstborn from the dead.

Jesus is inseparable from the Body. The Body can’t exist without Christ and Christ can’t exist without the Body. The name Christ denotes the anointed one. Christ was anointed for the sake of the Body. If it wasn’t for the Body, Jesus doesn’t need the anointing. Jesus was manifested for the sake of the Body and it is because of the Body that He died on the cross.

Christ is the sovereign ruler over the entire universe.

It’s because of His love for the Church that He gave Himself to die for it.

After His resurrection, Christ came back again in the earth through the Holy Spirit as a life-giving Spirit.

No single individual can see the Father on their own accord. To see the fullness of God, every individual must be part of the Body. We can only see God as a corporate Body.

Christ came as a life-giving Spirit so that He can work Himself in us to bring us under His headship.

The epitome of divine truth is that God became man so that man may became God in life and nature only but not in the Godhead. This means every work of creation should see us as their “God”. They should see their Creator in us.

This was to serve the purpose of closing the age of this existence so that Christ may come and establish the new Jerusalem.

The seventh angel then blew [his] trumpet, and there were mighty voices in heaven, shouting, The dominion (kingdom, sovereignty, rule) of the world has now come into the possession and become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ (the Messiah), and He shall reign forever and ever (for the eternities of the eternities)!

Revelation 11:15 (AMPC)

And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, all arrayed like a bride beautified and adorned for her husband; Then I heard a mighty voice from the throne and I perceived its distinct words, saying, See! The abode of God is with men, and He will live (encamp, tent) among them; and they shall be His people, and God shall personally be with them and be their God.

Revelation 21:2-3 (AMPC)

Lucifer was judged because he tried to put himself in the Godhead. No created being has a place in the God head.

God’s dispensation was to pour Himself into man so that we can have a God man living to become the Body of Christ.

God sent His Son to come as man to live a God man life by His divine nature.

The corporate God man is like God with Christ is the head.

It is the redeemed Body of Christ that consummates in the new Jerusalem

In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you. And when (if) I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.

John 14:2-3 (AMPC)

The dwelling is mutual. There is a place in you where God finds expression and there is a place in God where you find expression.

Preaching of the Gospel is to bring the Body into the headship of Christ. The Gospel is there to bring you under the superintendence of the headship of Christ.

Christ will not come back until His body has matured. The maturity of the Body will happen when the full Body is under the headship of Christ.

Christ being a life-giving Spirit is in your Spirit.

As you have therefore received Christ, [even] Jesus the Lord, [so] walk (regulate your lives and conduct yourselves) in union with and conformity to Him.

Colossians 2:6 (AMPC)

Jesus Christ is not only in heaven but also here on earth but not in bodily form. He is here together with us as a life-giving Spirit whose united with our spirit.

To walk with Christ means being careful with what is happening in your human spirit because your spirit man has been joined together with Christ.

To walk in Christ means to walk in our spirit. It’s a walk where you are transacting with Christ Jesus. The more you relate and communion with Him the more He dispenses Himself in you.

Walking with Christ is a daily dispensation of Christ in us. The true Church of Christ is birthed from the dispensation of God into man.

The purpose of Christ is for us to became a vessel that contains Him.

Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same mass (lump) one vessel for beauty and distinction and honorable use, and another for menial or ignoble and dishonorable use? What if God, although fully intending to show [the awfulness of] His wrath and to make known His power and authority, has tolerated with much patience the vessels (objects) of [His] anger which are ripe for destruction? And [what if] He thus purposes to make known and show the wealth of His glory in [dealing with] the vessels (objects) of His mercy which He has prepared beforehand for glory.

Romans 9:21-23 (AMPC)

Every vessel must contain one thing: Christ.

God is interested in how much of Christ you have in you not so much whether you are right or wrong.

Being right or wrong is a matter of the law, it’s not about conscience.

What matters in life is how much faithful we are with what He has given us. Faithfulness is a heart position.
