The Sons Of Manifestation: Part 4 | INFEMI Sermon By Bishop Gobanga

The Sons Of Manifestation (Part 4): Sermon By Bishop Gobanga

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father!

The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God. And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory. [But what of that?] For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us!

For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]. For the creation (nature) was subjected to frailty (to futility, condemned to frustration), not because of some intentional fault on its part, but by the will of Him Who so subjected it—[yet] with the hope that nature (creation) itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and corruption [and gain an entrance] into the glorious freedom of God’s children.

Romans 8:14-21 (AMPC)

A spiritual orphan lacks emotional and spiritual identity. They try to earn their identity by self-effort and works.  They are very critical of everything and everyone except themselves.

A spiritual orphan is also defensive. The moment an authority figure in their lives seeks to correct their behaviour they are ready with a defence and they constantly believe they are misunderstood. They have many imagined enemies.

They seek after approval while blaming others. They do things to gain approval.

Reference: Luke 15:11-32.

Both the older and younger son had the spirit of the orphan.

The younger son got his identity from pleasure and squandered his inheritance while the older son worked acceptance from his father without knowing that he was already loved and accepted.

The younger son was aware of the inheritance he had but he did not wait for release from the father. Process leads to an opportune moment of release. Sons stay until they are released into their function. Sons do not pursue their destiny prematurely.

God will usher you into your place of function after you enter into a depths of fellowship and relationship with God.

Many people in the church are like the elder son, working for the acceptance of God. Sons do not work so hard for the love of the father because they know that they are accepted. A congregation is not made up of perfect people.

There are also others in the church who those who feel like they do not need the father, just as the younger son felt when he got his inheritance. We are not exempt from authority just because we are successful.

When we are at the epitome of success is when we need to be very careful and walk under authority.  We should also guard ourselves against pride. Pride in our accomplishments can lead into sin.

People fall into sin because they have pride by virtue of what they have attained. They get deluded that we can do it without God.

The older and younger sons were poor; they had a poverty mentality. People who don’t like authority and work for the approval of men have a poverty mentality.

Sons respect authority despite the age of the person in authority. Authority does not come with age in the Kingdom of God but with maturity.

The younger son realized his mistake and came back. The older son never realized his mistake, he still tried to earn favors from the father. He became jealous when the younger son came back.

It is dangerous for Christians to earn love, favour and acceptance through self-righteous works. Self-righteous works are seen by the motive behind what we do.

Our motive will determine how we give. Our giving is vetted against our motive on the scale of eternity.

The resources of God are spiritual and not material. Worship is the motive for giving. Giving is not done to manipulate the anointing.

Prayer is communion with God and being of one mind with God. If our petitions are not answered, He is still sovereign and immutable.

Our petitions are answered by God’s grace not by our own effort, how hard we pray or trying to figure out things on our own.

For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel [who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the temple, before him] you shall become a plain [a mere molehill]! And he shall bring forth the finishing gable stone [of the new temple] with loud shoutings of the people, crying, Grace, grace to it!

Zechariah 4:7 (AMPC)

People who are jealous, gossipers, and love strife are not any different from the immoral. The expression is different but the spirit the same and serves the vision of the enemy.

For wherever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition), there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices.

James 3:16 (AMPC)

In the Jewish culture, sons were adopted and can only be adopted as adults. It is possible to adopt one who is not your biological child.

But if some of the branches were broken off, while you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among them to share the richness [of the root and sap] of the olive tree.

Romans 11:17 (AMPC)

True sons relinquish everything including their reputation and allow God to do things His way instead of taking matters into their own hands.

God expects us to pay the price for others just like Jesus did so that others don’t have to pay the price like we did.

Romans 8:15-17 (AMPC)

We are adopted as sons not because we have earned it but because we have been predestined for it, according to the purpose of God’s will. This breaks the orphan spirit and gets us a new standing and we walk in the blessing of blessing of power.

For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent] – [So that we might be] to the praise and the commendation of His glorious grace (favor and mercy), which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.

Ephesians 1:5-6 (AMPC)

When God adopts us, it’s not because we are unworthy but because we are very worthy; infinitely precious in His eyes. Even if we make mistakes, we are still worthy.

Jesus did not die to put shame on us but to remove it from us so that we can walk in our inheritance. We are to be free from the orphan mindset and adopt the Kingdom mindset.

We were created as spiritual beings. Adam sinned and we became human beings. Human beings don’t have the capacity to execute the purpose of God.

God wants us to be spirit beings and living beings.

Sons are not to be controlled by the current economy or inflation. They live in eternity and provide solutions to the world.

The curriculum of the Spirit is dynamic. It is perpetually being upgraded per time per season.

Sons are called to cunning works in the name of the Lord.

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship. And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee.

Exodus 31:1-6 (KJV)

God ordained Adam to function as a living being in the context of his existence as spirit being in the Garden of God.

God ordained earth to be central in so far as the Kingdom of God is concerned. The earth did not exist in time but in eternity. Its original primordial locus was eternity. It was put in time to stop the multiplication of sin.

Our destiny is beyond this physical time. There will be a new earth and a new heaven.

God wants sons to arise so that they can pervade the galaxies with light.

Then I saw a new sky (heaven) and a new earth, for the former sky and the former earth had passed away (vanished), and there no longer existed any sea. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, all arrayed like a bride beautified and adorned for her husband;

Then I heard a mighty voice from the throne and I perceived its distinct words, saying, See! The abode of God is with men, and He will live (encamp, tent) among them; and they shall be His people, and God shall personally be with them and be their God.

Revelation 21:1-3 (AMPC)

God created everything. All principalities, powers and princes were created by God.

Satan did not have any kingdom to start with. He only got one by Adam sinning. When we becomes sons of light, we banish darkness by our light.

Satan uses darkness and sin to rule. When you walk in light, Satan flees.

Matters pertaining to your life emanate from the second heavens.

Truly I tell you, whatever you forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit and declare proper and lawful on earth must be what is already permitted in heaven.

Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and [everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven. For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) My name, there I Am in the midst of them.

Matthew 18:18-20 (AMPC)
