Origins (Part 1): Sermon By Rev. Daniel Kamau

In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.

In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].

 John 1:1-5 (AMPC)

Christ was originally with God before all things. He is the wisdom of God.

But even if our Gospel (the glad tidings) also be hidden (obscured and covered up with a veil that hinders the knowledge of God), it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing and obscured [only] to those who are spiritually dying and veiled [only] to those who are lost.

For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.

For what we preach is not ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your servants (slaves) for Jesus’ sake.

2 Corinthians 4:3-5 (AMPC)

There are gospels that are not of Christ.

We need to go back to the origins and know how God intended things to be.

We need to consider origins if we are to function in the places of our callings. You can never function and bear fruit in the your gate unless you consider the original intent of God.

For us to express ourselves effectively in schools, homes and workplaces we need to consider origins.

[The purpose is] that through the church the complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities (principalities and powers) in the heavenly sphere.

 Ephesians 3:10 (AMPC)

The very first place the gospel was spoken and resonated was in the second heavens.

This is why Daniel prayed and fasted and was resisted in the spiritual realm.

In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].

Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.

For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.

Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].

 Ephesians 6:10-13 (AMPC)

The strategy of the devil is deceit and misinformation.

God takes us through process to prepare us.

The three years of process are for preparation. The fourth year is a year of crisis that will demand that you to stand.

For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, [In as much as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (AMPC)

The place God wanted man to rule and reign is occupied by the enemy and his camp.

When the dimension man was meant to occupy and rule was taken, they (enemies’ camp) took the position and created things that we have to contend with in our homes, workplaces and schools.

The day of crisis demands a demarcation between those who know God and those who don’t.

Signs and wonders are kept for the day of crisis.

Authorities work under rulers.

The second frontier of improvement when you are a son of God whose holy and righteous is skills and competence. Your skills and competence needs to be excellent.

Powers (cosmokratoras) are rulers and epithets of Satan.

For you to manifest as a son, you need to put on the full armour of God.

Principalities means darkness, shadiness and obscurity e.g. vile music.

Spiritual forces (pneumatika) means spirit and supernatural.

There is a competency we have in God to wage warfare on the enemy.

Abraham had 318 men that he raised and prevailed against the confederacy of Kedorlaomar.

All God desires of us is to stand and wear the full armour of God.

In a lineage, each one does an incremental work.

Any prominent person has an altar. Nations have overarching altars.

There are altars we need to deal with.

But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.

 Acts 1:8 (AMPC)

The only thing that is able to deal with all the occupying principalities and powers of the enemy is the power of God.

God is supreme above all rulers. Unless you go in the power of God you will be consumed.

When the rulers want to do something in a nation, they build foundations. Everything is built on a foundation.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound,

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,

To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

Isaiah 61:1-3 (AMPC)

Spiritual liberty comes when our eyes are opened.

The work of the Holy Spirit in believer’s life is first an internal work. We need healing and wholeness in our spirit man to be strong where we were once broken. There are things in you that when you have an altar in you they get a new origin.

And they shall rebuild the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former desolations and renew the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations. Aliens shall stand [ready] and feed your flocks, and foreigners shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

But you shall be called the priests of the Lord; people will speak of you as the ministers of our God. You shall eat the wealth of the nations, and the glory [once that of your captors] shall be yours. Instead of your [former] shame you shall have a twofold recompense; instead of dishonor and reproach [your people] shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double [what they had forfeited]; everlasting joy shall be theirs.

 Isaiah 61:4-7 (AMPC)

The things that God had intended for you in your destiny shall be rebuilt aright in your life once your process has been fulfilled.

To build aright, build on the word of God.

If you don’t understand the why, you will rebel against the how.

Each country and nation has a glory. All they need is an encounter with God. God wants us to reset their foundations to deal with their origins.

After this I looked and a vast host appeared which no one could count, [gathered out] of every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages. These stood before the throne and before the Lamb; they were attired in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.

In loud voice they cried, saying, [Our] salvation is due to our God, Who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb [to Them we owe our deliverance]! And all the angels were standing round the throne and round the elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin] and the four living creatures, and they fell prostrate before the throne and worshiped God.

Revelation 7:9-11 (AMPC)

Racism and tribalism have no place in God. The throne of God levels us all.

God wants us to reset foundations and deal with origins.

Ask God to equip you to deliver other people and disciple nations.
