Sonship: The Prolusion Of The Terminus | INFEMI Sermon By Minister Evans Ochieng

Sonship – The Prolusion Of The Terminus: Sermon By Minister Evans Ochieng

For if you live according to [the dictates of] the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the [Holy] Spirit you are [habitually] putting to death (making extinct, deadening) the [evil] deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever.

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father!

The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God. And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.

Romans 8:13-17 (AMPC)

His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),

That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.

Ephesians 4:12-13 (AMPC)

Sons are being manifested every day.

Sonship does not have a static terminal. You’ll never get to the place of arrival. God always takes us back to the blueprint.

God is raising sons throughout the Body of Christ.

Without fruit, you are not manifesting as a son.

Sonship is a reality that started in eternity. It supersedes religion.

The end of a matter can’t be established without an understanding of its origin or foundations.

Your background/ past has a great impact on how you fulfill your destiny.

Who is a son? It’s a person led by the Spirit of God. Being led by the Spirit means your appetite are dictated by the Spirit.

The responsibility is on you as an individual to create a culture of seeking God for yourself daily and not depending on corporate worship.

It’s hard for believers to thrive in the marketplace because they don’t understand the sphere and jurisdiction that they are called to in the marketplace. You need to have a revelation of the sphere in the marketplace that you are called to.

Freedom is the ability to move within your native element. You’ll never be able to touch base with the reality of Sonship without you walking in experiential freedom.

For you to manifest as a son you need to be free in your mind, emotions and will.

If you don’t learn how to steward your emotions, you’ll abort your destiny.

Everything has its culmination in the finished product. Raw materials may appear useless but it’s in that state that the material is determined to be useful. This stage precede the process God will take you through.

In the state of being in the raw material, it’s a sensitive stage where you’ll either be formed or not. It comes with a lot of rebukes.

The finished product has a lot to do with your understanding of the man in the second heaven/ identity. If you do not understand your identity you will not have the right foundation to function in your call.

The finished product is a blueprint of your identity.

God speaks to you about your destiny so that you can adapt a lifestyle that He wants you to live to fulfill your destiny.

You are not called in the marketplace to earn a salary but to move and shift things in the Spirit.

The raw materials never dictate how the finished product will look like.

Processing is something the raw material is not be inducted in before entering the process.

Process shapes and mounds something into something that is useful.

God will always use circumstances to remind you that you’ve not arrived yet. When you think you are a finished product, God will put you in a context where you are a raw material.

God packages a vessel with the capacity to be able to impact the gates.

Theology will introduce you to theories. Revelation will introduce you to realities.

Sonship is not a theory, it’s a reality.

Theories will never usher you into God’s habitation.

Faith is the currency with the highest exchange rate. Faith transacts faster than the speed of light. It changes mindsets, it enters the hearts of men and changes their character.

The finished product is a function of the transformative experience from death to life.

And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.

Philippians 1:6 (AMPC)

God has configured something unique in everyone. That’s why we need each other.

Every word that you receive is a small piece of the configuration over your life.

Some of us are stagnant because we’ve forgotten what God has spoken to us as individuals.

Now [Herod] cherished bitter animosity and hostility for the people of Tyre and Sidon; and [their deputies] came to him in a united body, and having made Blastus their king´s chamberlain their friend, they asked for peace, because their country was nourished by and depended on the kingś [country] for food.

On an appointed day Herod arrayed himself in his royal robes, took his seat upon [his] throne, and addressed an oration to them. And the assembled people shouted, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man!

And at once an angel of the Lord smote him and cut him down, because he did not give God the glory (the preeminence and kingly majesty that belong to Him as the supreme Ruler); and he was eaten by worms and died.

Acts 12:20-23 (AMPC)

Herod choose to took a posture of familiarity. Familiarity creeps in when you think you’ve attained to self-actualization.

Self-actualization will never replace our need for a Saviour and Lord.

Familiarity with God makes you lose respect for Spiritual authority.

A vision does not need help. It requires human connection. Connect with the man carrying the vision.

Jesus went away from there and came to His [own] country and hometown [Nazareth], and His disciples followed [with] Him.

And on the Sabbath He began to teach in the synagogue; and many who listened to Him were utterly astonished, saying, Where did this Man acquire all this? What is the wisdom [the broad and full intelligence which has been] given to Him? What mighty works and exhibitions of power are wrought by His hands!

Is not this the Carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not His sisters here among us? And they took offense at Him and were hurt [that is, they disapproved of Him, and it hindered them from acknowledging His authority] and they were caused to stumble and fall.

But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor (deference, reverence) except in his [own] country and among [his] relatives and in his [own] house.

And He was not able to do even one work of power there, except that He laid His hands on a few sickly people [and] cured them. And He marveled because of their unbelief (their lack of faith in Him). And He went about among the surrounding villages and continued teaching.

Mark 6:1-6 (AMPC)

Familiarity with God will always cause you think God is with you when He already left you.

Familiarity with God hinders the Spirit of God from moving in the Church.

The beginnings of good things are small but they end in grand reward. Evil things and sin have grand beginnings but have a terrible end.

The fear of God is a canopy. It’s the place you can access the wisdom of God.

So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.

Psalm 90:12 (AMPC)

For you to have a heart of wisdom, God needs to teach you.

You shall not oppress and wrong one another, but you shall [ reverently] fear your God. For I am the Lord your God.

Leviticus 25:17 (AMPC)

The fear of God should be the modulator in your relationships.

God will never give revelation without wisdom. The wisdom is to make you understand what the revelation is about because He will test you.

God is looking for someone who will midwife His purpose here on earth.

Every season has a template, each template is a subset of the culture of the Kingdom.

Spiritual technology is a mechanism that creates a portal that acts an access point to ancient paths and Kingdom culture.

Blessing is defined as a dynamic spiritual atmosphere orchestrated by the Holy Ghost to give you a truth about who God is.

You either attract or repel blessing based on your perception of other people and circumstances.

God blesses people. It takes revelation to know how to unpack a blessing i.e understanding the purpose of the blessing.

The highest blessing you can receive is a connection to God’s love.

Blessing is activated at the place of relationship with God.

People create an environment by their attitudes, behaviour and perceptions.

You need to be appointed before you are anointed. God appoints then man anoints whom God has appointed.

Anointing will never make sense unless you understand what you were appointed to do.

Anointing becomes effectual when you understand your identity as a son.

This is how to go through the process God has instituted for you

  1. Submission to God and authority in spite of their weaknesses
  2. Adaptability – ability to adapt in transitions.
  3. Service – become an outlet of the investment of truth that God has put in you.
  4. Humility
  5. Fellowship

We need a spirit of excellence.

Then this Daniel was distinguished above the presidents and the satraps because an excellent spirit was in him, and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

Daniel 6:3 (AMPC)

People in the marketplace are looking for excellence.

God is looking for intimacy in the church, not outperfomers.

Divine wisdom can only be accessed via the Cross. The Cross is a tangible access point for us to experience divine wisdom.

Human wisdom will not cut it for us as believers. We will need divine wisdom and revelation to offer solutions.
