Alignment – The Heart & Mind Of God: Sermon By Minister Taaka Hatego

Many things happen in a petrol station beyond just the fuel station. One of them is a wheel alignment centre.

Every car and tyre has a specific angle of alignment. This is decided by the manufacturer.

Tyres lose alignment because of being driven on different terrains. Without proper tyre alignment, you will struggle going in the direction you desire and this is a danger.

The tyre centre is a representation of the secret place of God. This is where we are aligned and configured into the position He desires for us.

God uses various tools to align us.

1. Prayer

Bats use sonar sound wave frequencies to navigate at night as they are blind.

Prayer, especially in tongues, is tuning to the frequency of heaven.

It’s a muscle that needs to be exercised.

In warfare, God gives us different tools. Ask Him what tool you need for your season. Is it prayer? Worship? Praise? Fasting?

2. Prophetic Word

God’s spoken word aligns us in every season of life we are in.

It is a great way to navigate through the different seasons we go through in life.

“Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai, saying, Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and proclaim against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me. But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from being in the presence of the Lord [as His prophet] and went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish [the most remote of the Phoenician trading places then known]. So he paid the appointed fare and went down into the ship to go with them to Tarshish from being in the presence of the Lord [as His servant and minister].”

Jonah 1:1-3 (AMP)

“Now the Lord had prepared and appointed a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.”

Jonah 1:17 (AMP)

Jonah ran from doing what God spoke to him. Through certain turn of events (a storm, being thrown overboard and swallowed by a great fish) God realigned him.

Because of his disobedience, the people in the boat with him were caught up in a rough storm.

3. Affliction

Blacksmiths operate with fire and a hammer.

For a vessel to be shaped and formed, it needs fire and to be shaped through hitting, pressing and cutting.

Every relationship is tested through conflict. This is similar for us with God too.

Conflict can be a deep source of intimacy.

4. Dressing

We are to be fashioned for the places God has prepared for us.

There are certain instructions regarding dressing that God will give you because of the places and people He has called you to.

We need to take these specific instructions from God with the seriousness they require.

If you are not aligned, like Jonah, you will bring danger to you and those around you.
