Handling The Vessel That Carries The Purpose Of God: Sermon By Bishop Gobanga

[Earnestly] remember the law of Moses, My servant, the statutes and the ordinances which I commanded him on [Mount] Horeb [to give] to all Israel. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes. And he shall turn and reconcile the hearts of the [estranged] fathers to the [ungodly] children, and the hearts of the [rebellious] children to [the piety of] their fathers [a reconciliation produced by repentance of the ungodly], lest I come and smite the land with a curse and a ban of utter destruction.

Fatherhood in the African continent has been associated with terror and abuse.

Fatherhood is a principle derived from God the Father. He has dedicated this principle to be articulated and expressed through human vessels. 

The passion of God is for every inheritor to get the fullness of His inheritance. 

God is not in the business of always checking what you have done for Him today. Our physical fathers created this perception that we always have to have results.

There are certain patterns and blueprints that we derive from God the Father that can only be expressed through Christ. 

God ordained for each and everyone of us to become. He ordained blueprints and patterns for our becoming that we need to tap into. 

God the Father never fails though physical fathers may fail. The failures of our physical / spiritual fathers do not mean the failure of the office and function of the office of fatherhood. 

It’s human beings designated for the office of fatherhood that fail to express the mandate of fatherhood. 

Fatherhood is a spiritual expression and it’s supernatural. It’s not an abstract idea. 

Fatherhood is a manifestation of the Spirit of God the Father. 

We cannot overspiritualize fatherhood and separate it from the natural. Fatherhood must be made manifest in the natural. That’s why God has given us biological/spiritual fathers or father figures. 

Fathers must derive the expression of fatherhood from God the Father.

Fatherhood is a reflection of God the Father.

Jesus was the true reflection of God the Father. God the Father does not need to manifest Himself in the physical. Anyone who has seen Christ has seen the Father. 

There is a difference between the foundation of the Church and the foundation of the Kingdom. The foundation of the Kingdom of God is fatherhood. The foundation of the Church is the apostles and prophets with Christ as the chief cornerstone. 

The Church is not the Kingdom, it’s just a branch. The Kingdom existed before the Church Age. 

All Kingdom principles are fathering principles and they are derived from God the Father. 

The Church derives her mandate from the headship of Christ. Therefore, the Church derives her mandate from the God the Father. 

God has not ordained for us to exist as structural entities but has called us to exist in relationship. 

In Eden, there was no Church. It was only creation, Adam and God. God came to the Garden for fellowship and relationship. 

The original blueprint God had for humanity was relationship. The reason we pray today is because of the fall of man. 

God the Father has always wanted His children to relate with Him and not fear Him. 

When Adam fell, he fell from the highest position of relationship, that is, sonship. 

God never ordained us to be structured but relational. Relationship is what makes life make sense. 

The fall of mankind made mankind not see God as a Father but as terror. 

There are some wounds that people carry over the years that affect how they relate with authority. 

In Christ, we have an equal opportunity to relate with God as the Father.

Until we are restored into the principle of fatherhood, there will be no spiritual inheritance. 

Fatherhood must be expressed from the inside out and not outward in.

Fatherhood needs to be a reality in your heart. For the reality to be made manifest in your heart, there must be a change of mind from all the perceptions we’ve gotten from our earthly parents. 

Love can only be possible on the strengths of the truth that have been made a reality in your mind and heart.

God intended for Adam to reflect Him even in his relationship with Eve. The husband is supposed to be a father figure to his wife.

Being a father figure means that you’ve understood the principle of fatherhood and are able to manifest it. You must ascend and relate with God as the Father for you to be able to express fatherhood. 

Jesus is the perfect replica of God the Father. He is able to teach us who the Father is experientially. 

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6 (AMPC)

God is looking for men who are married and parents to be a good replica of what it means to be a father figure.

Adam failed to express fatherhood to his wife, such that the ultimate failure in the first sin is the failure to express the Father. 

The principle that was violated in the Garden was the principle of fatherhood. Adam was commissioned to induct Eve not to touch the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. 

Jesus is not the Father but He is the Father in the flesh meaning He is the perfect replica of the Father.
