The Newness Of The New | INFEMI Sermon By Rev. Daniel Kamau

The Newness Of The New: Sermon By Rev. Daniel Kamau

Predating the creation and the fall of man, in the heart and mind of God was the idea of purpose. And therein was birthed the covenant of redemption. It is a covenant.

Newness in this case denotes quality of the pristine state of creation as done by God. When He finished everything He looked at it, He qualified it and said that it is good.

Anything good and anything done and completed before you unpack it, is new.

Anything that God does is new, complete, pristine, untouched, unsullied and unsoiled.

Newness also denotes the reflection of the purity of the thoughts that God has in store void of corruption.

Newness is the quality of being as qualified by the Divine as being the culmination of the works of Jehovah.

The newness of the new also denotes the work of the Father as the Son mentioned in His response to the Pharisees.

Before the fall of man, God had purpose.

God does not repeat things.

“But Jesus answered them, My Father has worked [even] until now, [He has never ceased working; He is still working] and I, too, must be at [divine] work.”

John 5:17 (AMPC)

The Father is always at work. The Father does not just work for busyness sake. He is about His purpose. He neither sleeps nor slumbers.

“I lay down and slept; I wakened again, for the Lord sustains me.”

Psalm 3:5 (AMPC)

We were created to sleep. There is a prophetic purpose of sleep.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

“For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well.”

Psalm 139:13-15 (AMPC)

“Yes, from the time of the first existence of day and from this day forth I am He; and there is no one who can deliver out of My hand. I will work, and who can hinder or reverse it?

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent [one] to Babylon, and I will bring down all of them as fugitives, [with] all their nobles, even the Chaldeans, into the ships over which they rejoiced.

I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King. Thus says the Lord, Who makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters, Who brings forth chariot and horse, army and mighty warrior. They lie down together, they cannot rise; they are extinguished, they are quenched like a lampwick:

Do not [earnestly] remember the former things; neither consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

The beasts of the field honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen, the people I formed for Myself, that they may set forth My praise [and they shall do it].

Yet you have not called upon Me [much less toiled for Me], O Jacob; but you have been weary of Me, O Israel! You have not brought Me your sheep and goats for burnt offerings, or honored Me with your sacrifices. I have not required you to serve with an offering or treated you as a slave by demanding tribute or wearied you with offering incense.”

 Isaiah 43:13-23 (AMPC)

There is a resoluteness in the newness of the new. The Lord is looking for praise.

God is inviting us to consider afresh. To consider that He is not out of ideas.

God has never run out of ideas. You may be out of options as man, but He is not out of options.

God invites you to consider new possibilities. We are not to consider the past records and opportunities. Those are past possibilities. There are new ones to look to.

God is not calling us to religion.

“You have not brought Me your sheep and goats for burnt offerings, or honored Me with your sacrifices. I have not required you to serve with an offering or treated you as a slave by demanding tribute or wearied you with offering incense.

You have not bought Me sweet cane with money, or satiated Me with the fat of your sacrifices. But you have only burdened Me with your sins; you have wearied Me with your iniquities.

I, even I, am He Who blots out and cancels your transgressions, for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins.”

Isaiah 43:23-25 (AMPC)

“Put Me in remembrance [remind Me of your merits]; let us plead and argue together. Set forth your case, that you may be justified (proved right).

Your first father [Jacob, in particular] sinned, and your teachers [the priests and the prophets—your mediators] transgressed against Me. And so I will profane the chief ones of the sanctuary and will deliver Jacob to the curse (the ban, a solemn anathema or excommunication) and [will subject] Israel to reproaches and reviling.”

Isaiah 43:26-28 (AMPC)

Relationship with the Divine has been breached, violated, desecrated by sin.

“But Jesus answered them, My Father has worked [even] until now, [He has never ceased working; He is still working] and I, too, must be at [divine] work.

This made the Jews more determined than ever to kill Him [to do away with Him]; because He not only was breaking (weakening, violating) the Sabbath, but He actually was speaking of God as being [in a special sense] His own Father, making Himself equal [putting Himself on a level] with God.

So Jesus answered them by saying, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the Son is able to do nothing of Himself (of His own accord); but He is able to do only what He sees the Father doing, for whatever the Father does is what the Son does in the same way [in His turn].

The Father dearly loves the Son and discloses to (shows) Him everything that He Himself does. And He will disclose to Him (let Him see) greater things yet than these, so that you may marvel and be full of wonder and astonishment.”

John 5:17-20 (AMPC)

When God interrupts your ideas, your calendar or your program, He does not do it just for the sake of doing it, He does it so as to show you new things. May we make way for Him. May our structure break to give way to the new ideas.

This is a season of divine exchange. You will not get that which God has in store if you do not let go of that which He says is hindering you.

If God asks for something, when God asks for something, give it up. As a result you’ll touch base with a divine reality.

“Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place?”

Psalm 24:3 (AMPC)

God is doing a new thing. His calendar and agenda is already at work. Whether you participate in it or not, He is moving. Do you want to be a part of this new move?

There are covenants that God makes with people because of their sacrifice.

“Gather together to Me My saints [those who have found grace in My sight], those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”

Psalm 50:5 (AMPC)

God is looking for praise.

“Just as the Father raises up the dead and gives them life [makes them live on], even so the Son also gives life to whomever He wills and is pleased to give it.

Even the Father judges no one, for He has given all judgment (the last judgment and the whole business of judging) entirely into the hands of the Son, so that all men may give honor (reverence, homage) to the Son just as they give honor to the Father. [In fact] whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, Who has sent Him.

I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the person whose ears are open to My words [who listens to My message] and believes and trusts in and clings to and relies on Him Who sent Me has (possesses now) eternal life. And he does not come into judgment [does not incur sentence of judgment, will not come under condemnation], but he has already passed over out of death into life.”

John 5:21-24 (AMPC)

“But God—so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us, even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation).

And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One). He did this that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable (limitless, surpassing) riches of His free grace (His unmerited favor) in [His] kindness and goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus.

For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”

Ephesians 2:4-10 (AMPC)

The thing God wants to do has no human input other than repentance. There is no dimension of works. Participation and inclusion are because of mercy. Accepting mercy births the attitude of gratitude.

“So then [God’s gift] is not a question of human will and human effort, but of God’s mercy. [It depends not on one’s own willingness nor on his strenuous exertion as in running a race, but on God’s having mercy on him.]”

Romans 9:16 (AMPC)

“Then he said to me, This [addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it to yield a ceaseless supply of oil from the olive trees] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of Whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts.”

Zechariah 4:6 (AMPC)

God is looking for relationship and someone who will show forth His glory on the face of the earth.

“Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound an alarm on My holy Mount [Zion]. Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of [the judgment of] the Lord is coming; it is close at hand—

A day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and of thick mists and darkness, like the morning dawn spread upon the mountains; so there comes a [heathen, hostile] people numerous and mighty, the like of which has never been before and shall not be again even to the years of many generations.

A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns; the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yes, and none has escaped [the ravages of the devouring hordes].

Their appearance is like the appearance of horses, and like war horses and horsemen, so do they run. Like the noise of chariots on the tops of the mountains they leap—like the noise of a flame of fire devouring the stubble, like a mighty people set in battle array.

Before them the peoples are in anguish; all faces become pale. They run like mighty men; they climb the wall like men of war. They march each one [straight ahead] on his ways, and they do not break their ranks.”

Joel 2:1-7 (AMPC)

Eden is not a physical location but an atmosphere. It is the place of relationship, fellowship, and communion with the Divine. It is the cradle and place where we touch base with the principle of life. It is the place where humanity touches base with Divinity.

Eden here is being destroyed. What is destroying your Eden? What is destroying humanity’s contact with the Divine? God preempted this by creating the covenant of redemption from eternity past. God is never, ever out of options.

“Therefore also now, says the Lord, turn and keep on coming to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning [until every hindrance is removed and the broken fellowship is restored].”

Joel 2:12 AMPC

Until you enter into the place of Eden, until you touch base with the principle of life, God will continually put in front of you the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil as the preconditions or the containers of the parameters for which to modulate and ventilate your relationship, fellowship, and communion with Him.

We are yet to see the hand of God. The spirit of unbelief and doubt is because of the circumstances that have arisen that go against Who God says He is.

Our eyes are unable to see what God is doing because our hearts are in the wrong place. If your heart is in the right place, you’ll see what God is doing.

Even with everything that is going on in this country, what is in God’s heart? SELAH.

Come hither, let us go deep in God.

God’s eyes are always roaming. He is always looking for willing hearts. There is something that God wants to do. He is looking for willing hearts.

God is waiting for you to calculate everything that you’ve ever done, and then like the Apostle Paul, consider it all dung that you may be part of the new thing that He is doing.

“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.”

Hebrews 4:12 AMPC

When God requires you to give up a certain thing, He is exposing your heart. He is introducing you to a reality about Himself. The reality of I AM.

“Blow the trumpet in Zion; set apart a fast [a day of restraint and humility]; call a solemn assembly. Gather the people, sanctify the congregation; assemble the elderly people, gather the children and the nursing infants; let the bridegroom [who is legally exempt from attending] go forth from his chamber and the bride out of her closet. [None is exempt from the humiliation.]”

Joel 2:15-16 AMPC

Fasting is a means for restoration of fellowship with the Divine and accessing new things in God. None is exempt.

“Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar; and let them say, Have pity and spare Your people, O Lord, and give not Your heritage to reproach, that the [heathen] nations should rule over them or use a byword against them. Why should they say among the peoples, Where is their God?”

Joel 2:17 AMPC

There needs to be a stark difference between you as a saint and the heathen.

“Revival in Kenya and worldwide fuelled by young people full of the power and purpose of Christ. God is restoring and elevating the women. INFEMI is a prophetic mountain. God is calling the men to a place of leadership. The place of prayer and vision, submission and leadership. God is calling us to a place of unity. Without faith it is impossible to please God. God is calling us to a deeper fellowship with His Spirit.”

Rhema (5th August 2012)

“And the [threshing] floors shall be full of grain and the vats shall overflow with juice [of the grape] and oil. And I will restore or replace for you the years that the locust has eaten—the hopping locust, the stripping locust, and the crawling locust, My great army which I sent among you. And you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord, your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you. And My people shall never be put to shame.”

Joel 2:24-26 (AMPC)

God is not only speaking of physical grain but also of spiritual realities.

There are things that you’ll never get unless you ask according to His will.

God hid eternity in the hearts of men. This is why God looks for a heart.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (AMPC)

When touch base with what God hid in your heart, you move God.

This decade will be fruitful for you to degree that you anchor it to purpose.

“So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.”

Psalm 90:12 (AMPC)

Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.

Ephesians 5:15-16 (AMPC)

It is a heart issue. This newness of the new that God is doing will be initiated, sustained and culminated by a heart that is aligned to the mind and heart of God.

Grain is the fullness of the word of God applied in your life.

“And the Spirit entered into me when He spoke to me and set me upon my feet, and I heard Him speaking to me.”

Ezekiel 2:2 (AMPC)

Faith is living out everything that God has spoken to you. We are not yet strong because we do not revisit those words. We have no structure for tracking those words at individual level.

Revisit what God has spoken. As you do, you’ll find that you’ll grow strong, assured and bold in your identity. You will cease to compare yourself with another. You will ascertain your times and seasons. You will ascertain your Day.

“Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.

Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.

Speak out to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, offering praise with voices [and instruments] and making melody with all your heart to the Lord, at all times and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father.”

Ephesians 5:15-20 (AMPC)

You’ll touch base with wisdom for your day. You’ll find parameters in which you walk for your day. You’ll learn how to awaken for your day.

“Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!”

Isaiah 60:1 (AMPC)

You can never arise for that which you have not yet seen.

We are in a new season not because the calendar changed, but because of that which God spoke.

You need to get your daily bread from the Lord.

“Give us this day our daily bread.”

Matthew 6:11 (AMPC)

You need to wake up in the night. You need to touch base with the mystery of obscurity. You need to touch base with the reality of night watches. We need to understand the mystery of the night.

Audio-visual things are media and they open you up to spiritual realities. This is why you will find that there are series that you’ll stop watching, and your frequency of hearing God comes back. This is because Hollywood productions have been dedicated to Satan.

“The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night.”

Psalm 121:6 (AMPC)

Do not open yourself up to these influences.

New wine denotes the flow of fresh revelation. Do not get drunk with wine, get drunk with the Spirit. Every day, hear something from the Holy Spirit.

“And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.”

Ephesians 5:18 (AMPC)

“She has killed her beasts, she has mixed her [spiritual] wine; she has also set her table.”

Proverbs 9:2 (AMPC)

Enter into that feast of God where He unleashes revelation for you every day. Hear something from the Holy Spirit every day.

Oil denotes perfected and processed anointing that avails the graces of the Lord.

There are anointings that God will not release over lives until we mature.

Be rooted and grounded. Study to show yourself approved. Ones who able to rightly divide the word of God.

“Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.”

2 Timothy 2:15 (AMPC)

Read: Ephesians chapters 3 and 4.

This rooting is for your purpose not for knowledge that puffs up.

We are in a season where maturity is being demanded of us.

Ask the Holy Spirit to root you deeply in the Word of God.

In the newness of the new, God will quantum-leap some processes for us because of our maturity.

“And you shall know, understand, and realize that I am in the midst of Israel and that I the Lord am your God and there is none else. My people shall never be put to shame.”

Joel 2:27 (AMPC)

There are things that will only happen if God is in them. That is why the Philistines knew that to defeat Israel they only needed to take the Ark of the Covenant away from them. This is why we contend against everything that tries to stifle or take away the presence of God in our lives.

“And afterward I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Even upon the menservants and upon the maidservants in those days will I pour out My Spirit.”

Joel 2:28-29 (AMPC)

The reason God uses His Spirit to reveal things to us, is because we cannot bear it bare, directly from Him. It would prove to be too much.

“For God [does reveal His will; He] speaks not only once, but more than once, even though men do not regard it [including you, Job]. [One may hear God’s voice] in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men while slumbering upon the bed,

Then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction [terrifying them with warnings], that He may withdraw man from his purpose and cut off pride from him [disgusting him with his own disappointing self-sufficiency].”

Job 33:14-17 (AMPC)

During this fast, may God open that inner ear that we may hear Him.

“And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision [of this heavenly being], for the men who were with me did not see the vision, but a great trembling fell upon them so that they fled to hide themselves.

So I was left alone and saw this great vision, and no strength was left in me, for my fresh appearance was turned to pallor; I grew weak and faint [with fright]. Then I heard the sound of his words; and when I heard the sound of his words, I fell on my face in a deep sleep, with my face [sunk] to the ground.

And behold, a hand touched me, which set me [unsteadily] upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. And [the angel] said to me, O Daniel, you greatly beloved man, understand the words that I speak to you and stand upright, for to you I am now sent. And while he was saying this word to me, I stood up trembling.

Then he said to me, Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your mind and heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come as a consequence of [and in response to] your words.

But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me for twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief [of the celestial] princes, came to help me, for I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Now I have come to make you understand what is to befall your people in the latter days, for the vision is for [many] days yet to come.”

Daniel 10:7-14 (AMPC)

God means business. He minds about people jealously and dearly.

He has ordained wisdom for transition in this season. His hand has wisdom and power. They’ll say that it is the finger of God when it is done.
