"11 Then I looked, and I heard the voices of many angels on every side of the throne and of the living
creatures and the elders [[a]of the heavenly Sanhedrin], and they numbered ten thousand times ten thousand
and thousands of thousands,
12 Saying in a loud voice, Deserving is the Lamb, Who was sacrificed, to receive all the power and riches
and wisdom and might and honor and majesty (glory, splendor) and blessing!
13 And I heard every created thing in heaven and on earth and under the earth [in Hades, the place of
departed spirits] and on the sea and all that is in it, crying out together, To Him Who is seated on the
throne and to the Lamb be ascribed the blessing and the honor and the majesty (glory, splendor) and the
power (might and dominion) forever and ever (through the eternities of the eternities)!
14 Then the four living creatures (beings) said, Amen (so be it)! And the elders [[b]of the heavenly
Sanhedrin] prostrated themselves and worshiped Him Who lives forever and ever."
Revelation 5:11-14 AMPC
Worship is not only conducted when you are in public. It is first and foremost personal. If it is not personal, then you are engaging in religion which is a form of godliness without the power to transform.
Worship is not just limited to music. Your word life, your prayer life is worship.
A worshipper simply makes a commitment to do what it is that they are supposed to do and they do it.
In congregational worship, God is able to use congregational worship to move an individual to an even higher level of worship.
Worship is responding to God's vision/revelation of God.
God cannot do things for you unless He first reveals Himself to you as Who He is.
When we are worshipping we respond to the worthiness of God.
When you worship, you worship that which you can see, that which you believe in.
"You [Samaritans] do not know what you are worshiping [you worship what you do not comprehend]. We do know what we are worshiping [we worship what we have knowledge of and understand], for [after all] salvation comes from [among] the Jews." John 4:22 AMPC
Worship must be a humble response to the self-disclosure of God.
Worshipping God is not asking God to draw near or going before God. God is always there, it is a matter of connecting with Him.
Worshipping involves engaging with God with joy and gratitude. God wants us to be a people of thanksgiving.
Testimony is worship. Learning from the different experiences that we go through gives us a reason to worship God.
Worship demands a reason and God gives us a reason to worship Him.
Worship must always be a humble response from the heart and not from the mouth. As long as your heart is not the centrality from which you engage with the Divine, then everything that you do is a mirage.
A worshipper causes the reality of God to become evident to them by faith.
You can only respond in worship when you see the reality of Who God is.
Worship has a lot to do with giving and not receiving. True worshippers are givers and they give extravagantly.
You cannot worship when you do not have revelation.
Worship does not come from nowhere. Worship originates from revelation. Worship has got to begin with seeing God as He is, and then you must be in a place where you can receive His Self-disclosure.
Worship is an attitude of the heart whose transport is faith. ~ Mtume Gobanga Yohana
"Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, [a]the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]." Hebrews 11:1 AMPC
The centrality of worship is Jehovah; not your feelings, your needs or your wants. And God does care about your needs and your wants but He wants you to understand that for you to worship aright He must be at the centre.
Worship is God revealing God. God the Holy Spirit revealing God the Son, and God the Son revealing God the Father.
Worship is a transaction that is a heart to heart transaction.
When God reveals Himself to you, you respond in faith, obedience and worship.
God revealing Himself to you is Him imparting a truth to you, not apart from His works.
Worship will teach you repentance and forgiveness.
To worship God means that we are worshipping Him in the way that He ordained, and not in the way that you prefer.
When it comes to worshipping God there is no program/system/procedure.
You cannot approach God in the manner that you prefer. There is a manner in which you are supposed to approach God.
Worshipping God is a holy confrontation.
When you are worshipping God you are responding to the actions of God, His character, and His words. And all of this stems from His revelation.
The acceptable way of worshipping God has to be the way in which He has instituted.
Anything that is outside the will of God cannot be considered as worship or included in worship.
The Scriptures have prescribed the manner in which we must approach God and it must be within the confines of God's will.
Worshipping is not adding value to God or the Church.
Worshipping God creates an avenue which God uses to help you.
Worshipping is giving to God. It is not receiving from God.
Worshipping is the highest form of love.
Worship is not merely a duty, a forced agreement with the truth. It is a spontaneous engagement with God.
When you worship, you are basically in love with the most important thing is your life. When you worship you are in love with God.
God is the highest object of our worship. God is your highest blessing.
Worship is attitudinal. It is not formal.
Formal worship should be an external expression of the internal reality of my soul.
