Ladies and Gentlemen!
I trust you are doing well tonight.
Let me share with you what has been in my heart for your edification:
Advancement in the kingdom of God is not achieved by diminishing the progress, reputation, or influence of those who have gone ahead of you. True elevation does not come through competition, envy, or the quiet undermining of another person’s work. The kingdom of God operates by a different spirit. In the kingdom, honor creates room for increase. The kingdom of God is a dimension of the realms in which, humility attracts grace, and gratitude prepares the heart for promotion.
When a person attempts to rise by tearing down others, he reveals a misunderstanding of how God establishes people. Such a path may produce temporary visibility, but it does not produce lasting authority or genuine influence. What is built through rivalry and resentment rarely stands the test of time. Such a foundation is unstable because it is rooted in insecurity rather than in the purposes of God.
The ideal path is to rise by honoring and celebrating those who have gone ahead of you. Every generation benefits from the labor, sacrifices, and obedience of those who came before. The people who have walked longer with God have endured seasons of testing, learning, and refinement that younger believers may not yet understand. Recognizing their contribution does not diminish your own calling. Instead, it places you in alignment with the principle of honor that God blesses.
Honor is not flattery; honor is not blind loyalty. It is the sincere recognition of grace, effort, and faithfulness in the lives of others. When you honor those who have served faithfully, you acknowledge the work of God in them. You also cultivate a heart that is free from jealousy and comparison. Such a heart is able to grow without the weight of resentment or rivalry.
Celebrating the progress of others also reflects confidence in God’s timing. When you rejoice in another person’s success, you demonstrate that you trust the Lord with your own journey. You understand that God appoints seasons and that He knows when and how to bring each person into the fullness of their assignment. The success of another person does not threaten your destiny. It simply reminds you that God is faithful to complete the work He begins in the lives of His people.
The seeds you sow in this season will shape the harvest that appears in your future. Words of honor, attitudes of humility, and acts of encouragement are seeds that produce favor and relational strength. When you lift others up, you create an atmosphere where respect and goodwill flourish. Over time those seeds return to you in ways that are often greater than what you originally offered.
Your season of celebration will come. Every person who walks faithfully with God will eventually encounter moments when their labor is recognized and their calling becomes visible. In that season you will desire others to rejoice with you, to support you, and to acknowledge the grace of God upon your life. The way you treat others now prepares the ground for how people will respond to you then.
Therefore be mindful of the seeds you sow. Speak with integrity about others. Refuse to participate in conversations that tear down those who have served faithfully. Guard your heart from subtle forms of envy that can distort your perspective. Choose instead to cultivate honor, gratitude, and humility.
When you walk this path, you align yourself with a principle that God consistently blesses. Those who learn to celebrate others without insecurity often find that doors open for them in unexpected ways. Their character attracts trust, their humility invites cooperation, and their respect for others builds lasting relationships.
In the end, the greatest elevation is not merely to stand in a position of influence but to carry a character that reflects the heart of Christ. Jesus Himself honored the purposes of the Father and served others with humility. Those who follow His example discover that true greatness grows quietly through faithfulness, honor, and love. When your time of celebration arrives, it will rest on a foundation that is strong, clean, and worthy of the calling God has placed upon your life.
Do have a blessed night.
