Love Divine – The Capacity Of Believers: Sermon By Minister Victor Ngocih
For this reason [seeing the greatness of this plan by which you are built together in Christ], I bow my knees before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, For Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named [that Father from Whom all fatherhood takes its title and derives its name]. May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].
May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!
Ephesians 3:14-19 (AMPC)
The enemy has been deliberate in shifting our focus through our circumstances in this season.
Our circumstances are nothing weighed against the scale of truth.
You become what you behold.
When you behold and focus on your issues and circumstances, you will start to see more issues.
We are to keep our minds on that which is above, because we start to see our situations based on what is above.
There are dimensions of love that require one to have access to unlimited resources. These resources create the environment for the love of God to dwell with us.
1. The Power Of The Holy Spirit
One of the resources God desires us to have so we can express His love is the power of the Holy Spirit. This power is dunamis, the explosive power of God.
Once the power of the Holy Spirit inside of us is released, it starts to cause a transformation within us.
Inner strength creates capacity for power. This power creates the environment for manifest strength and power.
You need power for the environment of love to be expressed in and through you.
The Holy Spirit doesn’t move the same way always.
The only way what we do will have eternal value is if it’s done out of love.
In the realms of the spirit, it’s not just what you say that matters but also the intent of your heart.
It is dangerous when you speak something that’s misaligned to the frequency of your heart. Your heart and your words need to be aligned.
Ignore every urge to be self-sufficient outside of your configuration in God. (2 Chronicles 26:1-21)
God gives us our configuration. It is dangerous to desire to function outside of your configuration.
Amaziah was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem. He did right in the Lord’s sight, but not with a perfect or blameless heart.
2 Chronicles 25:1-2 (AMPC)
Just because you have the ability to do something, doesn’t mean you should do it.
Be careful of the moves you make outside of the counsel of God.
Self-sufficiency is doing what you think is right without the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The fullness of love can only be expressed by someone who is unlimited.
2. Death To Self
It changes us from being limited to limitless/unlimited.
The only way power and love can be expressed through you is through voluntary death.
If there’s no love, the power you express is like witchcraft.
Death limits you physically so you can be able to access your limitless spiritual reality.
When you surrender to the process God is taking you in your life, you access grace.
Consequently, from now on we estimate and regard no one from a [purely] human point of view [in terms of natural standards of value]. [No] even though we once did estimate Christ from a human viewpoint and as a man, yet now [we have such knowledge of Him that] we know Him no longer [in terms of the flesh].
2 Corinthians 5:16 (AMPC)
This includes the regard of others and ourselves.
When you submit yourself to process, you access grace. Process allows you to see yourself and others in the spirit.
Death breaks us free from our limitation.
What well are you drinking from? Self-sufficiency or eternity?
If you’re used to limitation, God will teach you how to function in abundance. If you’re used to abundance, God will teach you how to function in limitation.
To show love in its raw form is to allow yourself to be limitless.
3. The Indwelling Of Christ Within You In His Fullness
This makes us limitless in terms of our resources.
Christ was never limited when He walked on earth.
Process causes Christ to be formed in you so that you access that which is Christ’s.
What are the things you are pursuing in life at the cost of being transformed into the image of Christ?
Christ has to change you from inside out otherwise the fullness of His very presence will destroy you.
To be limited by needs is to live and act by your needs and not according to who you are in God.
Once the intent of your heart is aligned back to God, there’s a nature of Christ that will manifest through you.
Your faith plus the power of the Holy Spirit creates the environment for the indwelling of Christ.
You can’t steward a move of God without love for His people.
We need to be tired of a quick-fix Christianity. It is necessary to steward the truth we receive.
